Wow! I thought for sure someone would take a shot. Is he eligible for the PS? I realize they may not want him back even in that capacity, but I'm curious if it's even possible.

Teams may be waiting until after week one like many of the bigger named veterans on the market. I am sure he will get picked up next week when his contract won't be guaranteed for the season.

I am truly surprised by this. High draft picks with that much athleticism usually get a second chance from somebody. (Though it usually ends up much like their first chance.)

I'm very surprised. Isn't he still only 23? It's like a free draft pick. Some teams (49ers, Ravens to name a couple) hardly can field a starting WR corps...just don't see how everyone could pass on him.

Termination pay is for vested veterans. Jackson is not a vested veteran.

Unusual..No Patriots claimed off waiver wire this year??

We signed seven new guys and put one on IR. THere wasn't much left to pick from. Redd was probably the only guy worthy of claiming and he slid through just fine, as did the others (Gutierrez, Benjarvus green Ellis, Spann, Devree, etc).

Jackson is a bust..... People on this site has serious man love for him, because he was big and ripped. I work hard in the gym every week, but it dont since I look athletic that I could play in the NFL.

Jackson was all show and no go, period.

He's cleared waivers according to Reiss, so maybe someone will pick him up now that they can sign him to the contract they want as opposed to his Patriots contract. I'm sure someone will take a chance with him-especially at a low risk salary number.

As I said above, whatever you think of Jackson, he's the type of player who almost always gets a second chance. Think Troy Williamson, David Terrell, etc.

That seems like the most likely scenario to me. I don't think no one wants him, they just don't want him at his rookie contract. I will pay everyone on this site a dollar if he never signs with anyone the whole year.

disclaimer: I will not actually pay everyone a dollar, that would be stupid and impractical.
