Would you rather have Fernando who has plateaued as a cornerback? What you see is what you get with him and we saw that or

would you rather have the potential of a rookie? we saw what he did in the preseason. Wheatley has no real game experience and we can use that as a reason to worry,

but we can also say that after 4 preseason games Wheatley and Bryant were at the same playing level. who has more potential for growth?

Agreed, well said, and I was high on Bryant when he came in. This move makes me excited and anxious but not unhappy.

People would only be happy if Ty Law and Lawyer Milloy were back cus BB f**ked that up.

Change is never good for most people

Sure we'll all be nervous. But it's how you are playing week 16 and not week 1. I'm sure he'll get burnt a few times, but the offense should bail him out.

Wheatley has much more upside from what we've all read. And keeping Bryant might have held that upside back. But heck BB didn't even believe Ferando could be the 4 cb. what does that tell you?

Fernando bites ass ,I would rather see them bring Artrell Hawkins back from retirement or get real desperate and find Earthwind Moreland,Even Hank Poteat if he is still available

I have seen Bryant in Lions games and he sucked,I never really thought he was going to be here,no surprise he is gone and I don't think any other team knocked on his door yet.

People should not be worried about Bryant. Yes he was starting each preseason game, but not ints and I dont think any passes defending. Getting run over last game did not help his case, and BB loves tough players. He's just not one of them. It will be interesting to see who starts week 1. If wheatley could hold down the fort that would be tremendous.

So glad he's gone, he was a first down waiting to happen.

Great to see Wheatley and Wilhite learn and grow together, it will be great for them and for the team down the road. I'm excited to watch both of them play on what will now be a consistent basis.

Sure they'll be some growing pains, but both are lightning quick and athletic, they'll improve with each rep they get. Let's hope Lewis Sanders doesn't sniff the field unless an injury happens to either one of these two.

He was the choice of the Belioli to replace Samuel. Of course I'd feel better if he were still here. His absence highlights a bizarre and disappointing end to the offseason which offers little or no comfort to me as someone that kept defending the team during the exhibitions.

Bryant was to the corner position that Cassel is to the QB position - Both are worthless

Unfortunately Cassel had no real competition for #2 thus he stays due to lack of challengers and Bryant was given walking papers since I really believe the team has something planned for another CB thru the wire

You know, I actually think the two young corners will do good.

Well yeh! I wouldn't have had to bow to the superior knowledge of MrBigglesworth and face the cruel fact that I'm over the hill as a message board GM! :bricks:

I wouldn't go as far as saying he was the choice to replace Samuels when they still drafted two guys one in the second and one in third.

I was high on Bryant when we signed as I liked the idea of getting a career starter but I am not worried one bit that he didn't make it, it doesn't neccessarily mean he sucked it means other guys beat him out and that has me excited.

I'm just happy I got 1 out of 50 things right. Let's just hope the rookies are as advertised
