Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

I've known this for over a year. Maybe if he wasn't so interested in how his hair looked he could've actually learned the playbook and contributed.

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

In all seriousness, an early rd 2 pick is nothing to sneeze at.

Woulda coulda shoulda

Who cares how you get a player. If he is better than the one you drafted and you got him from selling peanuts at the stadium - who cares

Ventrone is better

Just an observation, that's all.
And you're right, Ventrone is better.
Too bad we could'nt pick up a stud o-lineman for a bag of peanuts.

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

We did Steven Neal

On the one hand, they blew the pick. I loved the pick at the time, so I blew it too.:)

On the other hand, this team doesn't worry about where they picked a player. They want football players. Undrafted free agents like Guyton, and "do all" players like Ventrone make the team. Later round picks like Slater make the team. This latest draft seems loaded with "football players".

I can't be critical of the Jackson pick, because 90% of the "experts" loved him coming out of the draft. I loved him. Many of you loved him. You never know what a player becomes once they get that guaranteed money. He didn't seem to hit the books. He didn't seem to always go the extra mile.

I thought he turned the corner, but they obviously have other plans, if the report by Reiss is correct.

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

I agree but . . . this thread sucks.

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

what a bustacular draft pick.

We should have gotten Jennings. dammnit. Jennings is frickin' awesome.

The Pats should have a moratorium on drafting 1st wide receivers and 2nd day tight ends.

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

I feel that if he wasn't cut this year, he would have been a liability on the offense. If the object this year is to get to the superbowl and win it, you can't have time to rely on someone who hasn't shown effort to learn anything in three years to take you there. Without him on the team, the team doesn't have to babysit him and worry about trying to minimize his mistakes.

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

I want all those hours spent debating CJax back in my life:mad:

Bust List:banned:

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

Reminds me a lot of that Philadelphia WR whose first name eludes me... Mitchell.

At least Chad didn't wear ridiculous coats and run his mouth 24/7 while making 1 catch every other game :bricks:

Re: Chad Jackson = BUST

this is all Deion Branch's and David Givens fault.

Re: Chad Jackson=BUST

It does not matter what Chad did in the pre season.

Tom Brady does not want to throw him the ball.

If Tom does not want to throw a WR the ball I can't see it working.

To Bad.

Re: Chad Jackson=BUST

Where are all the homers who were bashing those of us who have been calling him a bust since the start of camp? Fresh crowing being served up this morning... come'n'get'it. :)
