First time for another CJ thread.

If you asked me after games 1 and 2 I would have thought he was gone.

But after games three and four he has shown glimpses and production.

I find it difficult to cut him after that even though he's leaning towards bust.

I propose if he does come back bring back Troy Brown and make him his own personal coach. Make him constantly work with Troy all season long.

Sign Troy as his coach and if he sucks, cut him and activate Brown, lol

or just hire Troy as a WR coach for the entire team.

I would literally pay everyone who is a fan of the Patriots $5 if they would stop suggesting every vet be made into a position coach.

Drew Bledsoe as OC!
Chris Slade as DC!
Andy Katzenmoyer as LB coach!
Steve Israel as DB coach!

I agree. You should give everyone $5.00.

I wouldn't suggest it for anyone else, but where do you think a lot of position coaches come from? And Troy Brown is far more suited to be a position coach than any of those you listed. Of all the trends to get annoyed with on this board you certainly picked a harmless one.

yeah you're right, just throw away a #2 draft pick.

I don't expect anything less:D

True. Troy Brown is not a smart guy and doesn't know the game. His blazing speed and athletic ability made up for that lack of knowledge.

I will personally pay everyone on this board $5 each to lose the b*itchy little attitudes that seem to have cropped up lately. We come to this board to discuss something we all have in common and to express our opinions. We're all on the same team. More often than not, it ends with one person attacking another or nitpicking something someone else wrote. If you don't like the thread, go read a different one. We don't have to like one another, just be decent. It's that simple. OK, I'm off the soapbox. If Troy doesn't play anymore, I would love to see him as a assistant coach. Not all players would make good coaches, but personality wise,I think the likes of Bruschi and Brown are great examples of coaches in the making.

Although I'm still on the "practice team", I've been on this board long enough to know how it works. Yes, I remember NEM. I would just like to see a reduction of snide comments, that's all. I would like to think that most posters agree with me and if more people would lose the attitudes, we may be able to get some quality input from other fans that may be slightly intimidated to do so. Personally, I have refrained from posting questions or comments I've had in the past simply because I feel someone will come up with some kind of back handed comment, or call me a bandwagon jumper even though I've endured years of ridicule from stupid Seahawk fans because of my Patriot loyalty. Hopefully, I haven't hijacked this thread.

a second round pick? what does that have to do with, bethel johnson was a 2nd round pick was the answer for him a personal coach, ? facts to back up what? you made a stupid thread about something that will never happen, you need to think things out before you post or suffer the consequences

are you referring to replies like the one below?;)

well it's my personal opinion and I stand by it. I don't think it's stupid. They obviously thought high enough of him to invest a 2nd rounder. I went to training camp and I saw CJ confused on where to line up at times. People have criticized his technique that he doesn't know how to run routes thus he can't get separation. Well what better player to help him than the man who maximized his talents.

In college if you don't understand a class you get extra help or a tutor. I don't think one on one tutoring would be a bad idea.

So I actually believe I thought this out. I'd make a snide comment but I want to collect my $5.00

am i correct in saying the pats don't have a qb coach?

i don't think a coach would help cassel, his problem is more live game situation. i think when he goes in the game it still goes fast mentally and he can't get through reads and doesn't see the whole field.

i think he has the tools, just not the mind, or rather calmness.

the game hasn't slowed down for him
