When I posted that Lynch was signed without providing a link everyone threw a hissy fit, so this time I will just call it a "prediction."

Lynch & Gootz have been cut

Really? I am surprised by Lynch, not by Gutz (if your predictions are right).

 We don't even have a player named Gootz so how could he be cut?

And this is based on what exactly?
As to people throwing "hissy fits", you came to the board unprepared without a link and people called you on it. Nothing more.

Is it impossible to have Pats information before it is published by someone else on the Internet?

Yup, because it's not like the teams don't start telling the players several hours before the media is told...

Lynch would surprise me and qualify as the stunner Lombardi was trying to predict. But then again I didn't think Shanny cut him for chucks...

No, its not and I see your point. But, people are justified in asking. This board has not exactly been delivering of late in that there are alot of idiots who post here. Asking for a source, or better actually furnishing one before it is requested, kind of eliminates the idiot factor. Know what I mean?

Shanny didn't cut him.

Lynch left because he wasn't going to get a real shot.

Unless Lynch has struggled with the system he won't be cut.

listening to pfw in progress, while I could see your points with lynch.. he will not be cut.. , to much cash it cost to have him signed and then cut..

Cassel will be cut first, and if there is a decent vet back up qb, ala say Damon Huard, Gus Ferrotte, maybee even Chris Simms.. Then Guteriez gets cut..

I also believe Gootz will be cut.

He doesn't offer anything that O'Connell doesn't and wasn't much better than Cassell.

In an ideal world, both Gutz and Cassel are cut and Culpepper or Simms come in to backup brady.

There is no way Lynch gets cut! Not happening
Sincerely,

Lawyer Milloy

He asked for his release and it was granted because he wasn't going to see much playing time with Shanny. I assume Shanny had a reason for not being willing to give him what he wanted while being willing to let him shop himself to any competitor for nada. If he was cut here it's likely a similar agreement to disagree on what he can still bring and give him a couple of extra hours to shop himself before the mass cuts hit the wires.

I thought Lynch was in trouble before the Giants game, but I suspect during that game he showed he has enough left to make the 53. I don't think he'd be a complete shocker either way.

Guttierez I think is in trouble.

Correction, that would constitute an alternate universe. Neither of them knows this offense nor have they ever had experience in anything like it nor can they hold down a backup job anywhere else they've tried...

Guttierez - Agreed, gone.

Lynch - I don't think so.

Both have better skills than Cassell.

Both have more composure than Cassell.

I'm sorry, but I don't buy the Cassell stuff that a lot of people seem to be high on. We're not talking about someone that has shown glimpses of potential or had a great college career. We're talking about someone who has been a career back up and at every opportunity to rise above that level he has struggled.

I'd take a Culpepper or Simms with one week of the playbook over Cassell. The fundamentals they have in bounds, Cassell does not.

Please clam down chief, it aint that serious :rolleyes: Honestly, if the guy made a claim, and it turned out to be false, what does it matter?

If you are really a "fly on the wall," what are you doing halfway across the country?
