Over 500 players will be cut in the next 24 hours. As they are cut I thought we'd have one post for players we might want to sign.

Someone will offer a draft pick for Sims. Even without Sims, TB has four QB. The question is whether they keep four.

I'd look at him, ROSIE:rocker:, and Duante Culpepper (Duante only if one of our backups gets cut).

* Not sure if there's a thread about this, but apparently Duante sent letters out to all 32 teams, asking for a chance for a look-see/talk. Poor Duante. Reuniting him and Moss even just for a Flutie/VinnieT type of play really would be awesome.

Those are my choices so far, and great idea for a thread! Sorta keep it all in one place

I'll take ANY QB with starting experience for a backup, ANY out there that become available - Better than the crap we have right now behind Brady even if they have never seen a NE playbook - Cassel has seen the playbook for 4 years and has done SQUAT so what makes anyone think a newbie vet can do worse?.

He isn't good enough to play for the Texans right now. If New England dips into the ex-Pats linebacker pool in the near future, expect to see Seau before Colvin.

The cut of RB Jesse Chatman by the Jets is exactly this kind of ploy.

Trust me......despite having Morris,Jordan and Faulk,BB wil take a look at this.

I don't think so, Chatman is a hell of a guy and an all around good fellow but RBs like him are a dime dozen. I think the Patriots would rather take Eckel than Chatman, but 5 RBs is more than enough.

Poteat, we usually save him for the playoffs.. I hope we don't get desperate enough to bring him back.
