I realize the starters probably didn't play more than a series or two, but were there any positives from the game tonight? Negatives? I didn't see the game.

Kevin O'Connell hopefully sent Cassell packing.:banned:

Brady didn't get hurt
Moss didn't get hurt
I didn't get hurt

I look on all of those as positives.

I know, I just read about your wife there... :) tell me more about Jackson. I see he had two catches and another TD ... what did the comment about him not being able to walk mean?

Tripped on an easy red zone fade. The "Turf Monster" got him. We likely would have won (not that it matters, right guys?)

How did the o-line look? How did Light look (if he played)?

I saw some positives.

Crable: some players are always around the ball making plays, almost in spite of themselves. Crable just can't seem to help making plays. He'll be the first guy downfield to recover a fumble; A pass will hit him in the face; he'll drop a guy for a loss. He records a sack. Seriously, he has no idea what he's doing and he's still made more plays than any other defensive player on the team this preseason. His potential is awesome. He could be a very special player, in time.

Slater: Call me crazy, he has more talent to play safety than Meriweather. He's faster. He doesn't miss tackles. He has better hands. And he's probably smarter. He judges angles extremely well and can deliver a big hit. Yes, I like him more than Meriweather.

Heresy!

And you might be right... :scared:

Cassel and O'Connell looked good.

Slater and Jackson looked very good.

this kid is a football player and that's a term not used lossely here.
Crable also ... as you saw him ... a football player. Early to say .. but the draft looks solid ... real solid.

And he'll possibly make a few picks. But I agree. He did look good at safety, he might have been the best safety on the field last night. Surprised that he didn't get as much action at WR.
