What an arrogant azzhole this guy is (quote is near the end of the article)

He will not be laughing when the Giants are home in January as I do not think they will finish any better than 3rd in the NFC East - Possibly last if the Eagles play well (I think Washington surprises and finishes 2nd in that division)

I wish Pierce would play tonight, then maybe the offense could give him something to laugh about - like an injury to keep him laughing on the sidelines for a few weeks.

I also wish they would stop calling tonight's game a rematch - There will be lots of scrubs playing thier last game as a pro and bench warmers then starters next week so 'rematch' is a dumb word for this game.

All of this is what NY/NJ dinks do...if we get back to the SB this year it's my fondest wish that they make it too.

Re: Antonio Pierce "I will laugh when I see them tonight"

Hopefully someone goes to block him and gives special attention to his knee.

Re: Antonio Pierce "I will laugh when I see them tonight"

Well they have the right to laugh as they won but they'll join the Ravens, Bucs, etc, as one year wonders. They likely would have anyway but certainly will now with Strahan and Osi gone.

I didn't interpret it the same way you did. As much as it pains me to say this, Pierce is right - the Giants did get the last laugh...

"It's going to be funny for me," Pierce said. "I'm going to laugh. We won. I can laugh. We got the last laugh.

I think you may be kind of taking it out of context a little bit. I agree the way they have been acting (on the whole) since the SB is ridiculously unprofessional, but I just don't see it here.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute! Who is Antonio Pierce?

Tongue firmly planted in cheek.

no way, he is not taking ot out of context. Yes you get the last laugh but going around and bragging about is being an arrogant Ahole no way around it. saying you are going to be laughing at your apponent is just being a jerk.

Agreed. (10 char)

Re: Antonio Pierce "I will laugh when I see them tonight"

The Giants have shown to be really bad winners through all of this. From these quotes to Strahan's "Stomp You Out" classless rant during their ralley. Yes, the Pats have been known to do their own classless things like the post game celebration of the Lights Out Dance against San Deigo, but they leave it on the field. A lot of teams do stuff like that on the field, but when you do it in public or in print I think it crosses the line.

Not really a big deal to me though. If Pierce gets a laugh about a preseason game where I bet a large portion of the Patriots starters won't even play (Brady, Light, Welker, Thomas, and Meriweather are already pretty much a forgone conclusion with other probably not playing either), more power to him. The question is whether Pierce will be laughing at the end of December? I am guessing not. I thought they could overcome the loss of Strahan, but not Strahan and Osi.

He can laugh all he wants. That was last season and the new season begins in two weeks.

The real question is: will Pierce be laughing in four years when he is out of the league and pennyless?

Re: Antonio Pierce "I will laugh when I see them tonight"

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. Read the article.

Why? Well, seven months ago, the Patriots were doing a little trash talking on the field in Phoenix, laughing at the Giants and inviting them to their postgame parties and parades. That, of course, was before the final 2:39 when the Giants marched to the winning touchdown of Super Bowl XLII and earned the championship with a 17-14 win.

Won't that mean a little something when they meet again on the field?

"It's going to be funny for me," Pierce said. "I'm going to laugh. We won. I can laugh. We got the last laugh.

I agree. Nothing wrong with what he said. Just typical thin-skinned Boston sports fans giving us rationale Pats fans a bad name. ;)

He was responding to the reporter asking him about those (Pats) players who were (allegedly) laughing at the Giants before the SB. Not about the team in general. That's how I interpreted it.

Re: Antonio Pierce "I will laugh when I see them tonight"

he won so he can say what he wants. i heard him talk after the SB that they wouldve won the last game of the regular season if it had counted.

So you're upset because he said that. How do you feel about this?
