Any one else excited for week 2, Jets with a few new additions, Pats with a few new starters also.

I hope both teams show up healthy, play hard, and leave healthy.

Week #1 for the Jets will be fun for me because of the Pennington/Lion Heart vs Favre and the Jets. But I am going to go ahead and consider that game a win for the Jets.

If the Jets are going to make any noise, let alone make the play offs they have to at least split with the Pats in the regular season.

Jets need a win in week 2. And if they get it,,, Kate bar the door, the Jets will be instant contenders, and dominate ESPN and the media.

I am not looking past KC. I suggest you not look past the Fins. I would not be surprised if the beat you.

Absolutely. I'm picking the Phins' in the pool at work.

I don't play for the Jets, I am just a fan, The Jets can't afford to look past Miami, but I can.:)

Fryar, are you trying to impress your coworkers with savvy football knowledge by picking the Fish in week 1, are is it just more of a statement on the rivalry between the Pats and Jets?

I think the Jets have a problem with game #1 because of game #2. It's happened to all teams from time to time and the Dolphins just could be 1-0 after week 1.

To be honest, I'm looking forward to games v.s. the Colts and Chargers much more than Week 2. I need to see Favre make the throws in more than just a couple of exhibition games. If you guys come out and torch Miami, then I will be looking forward to Week 2 a lot more.

P.S. - Jerricho Cotchery should be your number 1 WR.

I predict the Jets will be 0-2 after week 2. Pennington is chomping at the bit and they will beat them and then we'll go there and Mangini will be coaching for his life ... lose again.

In week #1 I bet Pennington remembers week #1 from last year... the classless Jets fans cheering as he writhed in pain and then cheering again as he gutted it out, got up and saved his team the timeout by struggling to limp to the sideline.... and then he plays the game of his life.

Then you can worry about week 2.

That was an excellant post patriot Power ... and I bet you are right.

What? Are you boy's afraid of the Jets, can't bring yourselves to confront the reality of the Jets vs the Pats in week 2?

The Jets and the Pats are both winning in week 1, it's a lock that when these 2 teams meet they will both be 1 and 0, difference being the Jets have a healthy QB and the Pats QB is gimpy.

I am looking forward to week 1 and the Fish, I hope Chad and the Fish bring it. There is no way the Fish outscore the Jets.

If I was a Patriots fan, I'd be more concerned about whether the defense can pick off Brett Favre more then three times rather then if they'll lose or not.

Seriously, you'll need a miracle, a prayer, bad coaching by BB, and perhaps a few injuries to win week 2. I don't hate the Jets or anything, but objectively speaking, your gonna get creamed.

You certainly have a hell of a lot of confidence, maybe too much. There wouldn't be a flicker of surprise in me if the Jets screwed the pooch and lost to the Fins to start off the season.

You won 4 games last year, TWO were to the Fish (one game by only 3 freakin' points) and the other two were in Over time.

Holy crap Gunnails, I'd sit back with a hot cup of Reality and hope for a better showing before you start running off at the mouth about an 18-1 team. ;)

Belichick's recipe for winning game 2 = Interceptions.

Patriots will have at least 4 Int's and the Brett Favre era smidge will be all over the New York Post and Newsday.
