So nobody gives Tomase another hit...

Walking cast spotted at Brady locker

While Tom Brady was optimistic about his return, saying on WEEI’s Dennis & Callahan show this morning he thought he’d be ready to go for the Pats season opener Sept. 7 against Kansas City, we should point out that there was a walking cast at the foot of Brady’s locker. The removable boot sure looked a lot like the one he wore the week before the Super Bowl, when he was filmed wearing it in New York, when he was nursing that high right ankle sprain.

The Pats quarterback has claimed that while it’s the same leg, it’s a different injury. Obviously, even if it’s a different problem altogether, it was interesting to see a return visit from the infamous boot.

Okay so how's reporting the fact that Brady has a walking cast in his locker in the same league as the Tomase/Spygate thing?

Re: Herald at it again. .."Walking cast in Bradys locker "

The boot probably holds sentimental value and reminds him of quiet evenings in NY with Gisele making his big toe feel better.

He's at practice, taking snaps and throwing, but he's got a boot. Hmm, weird.

BB put it there right before press access..............

Re: Herald at it again. .."Walking cast in Bradys locker "

whats that supposed to mean?

Doesn't mean anything - I think its weird. If he needed a boot to walk around, I'd be very surprised he'd be out there throwing at practice. The two don't add up.

The patriots actually let that scumbag into the locker room still? :banned:

Is it a boot or a walking cast. A walking cast can be not much of anything. My guess is that he wears a walking cast when not practicing for preventative measures.

Actually, not necessarily:

His college teammates nicknamed him “The Natural” and marveled at Welker’s toughness. Because of a nasty case of turf toe, he spent nearly every waking hour wearing a protective plastic boot – except when he was practicing or playing in a game.

I only wish Tomase had gotten the infamous boot.

Why? He wore the boot and practiced - mostly - before the SB.

Lets be logical here. Brady is hurt. He hasn't played and he hasn't been spotted out at night lately. Those hags at the Herald would know. Plus, he did not give a definitive answer as to whether he's playing against KC. That worries me some - but then again, I think he just doesn't want to come off looking like a liar if he indeed does not play against KC - but is confident he will. But c'mon - something is wrong. It's obvious.

Doesn't everybody really think that if The Patriots didn't want the press to see that boot, they wouldn't ? The sheep took the bait !
When will they learn ?

The Patriots Orgaization and their "famous" possum playing is largely myth that has grown to gigantic proportions and sometimes to the teams detriment. I remember rival fans saying the "spying" was especially atrocious for the Pats because BB and Co. has supernatural powers that woudl allow them to decipher signals instantly. (eye roll)

The fact that Brady's foot is not in a cast is enough for me. Brady has played with pain and he's as tough a QB as there is in the league. I'm not worried that Brady can't play ... I think he'll play sparingly until he's 100% which is the best way to proceed anyways.
