I know that the majority of us were not overly concerned but for those who were maybe this will help.

On his weekly appearance on the "Dennis & Callahan" show on WEEI this morning, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said he expects to be ready for the team's regular-season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 7.

"I wish I could have shown more in the preseason, but it's going to have to wait, hopefully Thursday night [in the preseason finale against the Giants], then we'll see what happens when we play KC," Brady said.

Asked by co-host Gerry Callahan how his sore right foot feels on a scale of 1 to 10, Brady laughed before saying: "I'm feeling very good. I'm feeling very good. Like I said, I'm hoping ... I was wishing I could play last week and it didn't happen. It will be the same thing this week. I'm hoping I'm out there and if I'm not, I'm not. I'm trying to get better as fast as I can, and in the ways I know how; it's been making improvements, there is no doubt about it."

Should or will?

Should worries me a tad. Will does not.

OTOH, he doesn't say he couldn't have played last week. Just that it "didn't happen". I'm guessing he could have played last week from reading this but he's picking his words carefully.

was
there ever a question??? he said last week he could of played if it was a regular season game this is not news at all

was this ever a question? Read other threads.

Maybe it wasn't to you and/or me.

Is this news at all? Globe thinks it is. Mike Reiss thinks it is.

maybe it isn't to you.

as i said, he said last week he could of played in a regular season game, you make it sound like reiss is some media god, i like him hes the best reporter we got, riess also said victor hobson was going to be a big addition, the moral of the story for you is to use your own common sense and dont believe everthing in the media

I wonder who taught him to evade questions so well? :D

Did anyone expect him to say different? Even if he was hurt and not going to play, he'd say exactly the same thing.

Wow, that was only one sentence.

I don't really care what Brady says on WEEI because he really doesn't say anything while saying something. That said, I am really not worried about Brady at all. He was practicing last week.

Brady is obviously more hurt than he is letting on, Mark Schlereth said so..

better to rest than play 3 preseason games in 11 days........................ given that we have the easiest schedule on paper in the nfl brady needs all the rest he can get for another shot at a 19-0 season GO PATS.......................:singing::singing::singing::singing::singing:
