The game was not on here in Carolina. I heard the week before he looked good. We need him to play at a All-Pro level this year imo.
Glad to hear that Mayo has looked good so far for a rookie.

Zero tackles, zero sacks, I saw no pressures. He leaned into 4 assists but Eagles ran at will against our line. Did not distinguish himself. I see nothing to rave about.

as consolation, I think he did command some double-teaming. The Eagles might as well have double-teamed him while both Warren and AD were out.

The Eagles ran right at him, successfully.
They had eons to throw the ball. No pressure.

Seymour and the DL was equally ineffective against the second team Eagles offense. They ran at will over him just the same.

Were you there??

I thought I'd inject a hair of optimism. or we could all follow the mentality of hopeless negativism. whatever i don't care

Haven't we all been down this road before, primarily the D line is not statistic driven and secondly we did not know what was expected of him during this game.. the naked eye cannot often tell what he is supposed to be doing.. match it up to BB's comments and then things might make sense..

Absolutely. He could have been super for all I know. Everything could be just peachy-keen. We are just a bunch of ignorant fans, but I assume this is understood.

That is not the point, how many plays was he out there for?? What was his assignment?? This coupled with the reality of no Warren, no Thomas and limited playing time makes any statistics meaningless.. particularly in a D that is not statistically driven.

This argument comes up many times during a season, and is reminiscent of thread towards the end of last year when everyone thought he had a bad game..during a press conference BB was queried regarding Seymour, he responded something to the effect that he thought the game Seymour played and that we all questioned was one of the best of his career.

Say what you will, but to the naked eye of the fan things are not always what they appear to be.. if is not about fan ignorance, it is about the details and expectations in accordance with a game plan of the day.
