since the game is going to be on NFL Network tomorrow at 7am, i think i'll just try to shield myself from any scores/news and wait the 12 hours and pretend the game is "live" then.

although, i will be watching the sox tonight, does NESN usually run pats scores on the ticker? that might be a challenge to avoid.

Heh I did this for the first pre-season game, avoided any sports media all Thursday night until Saturday @ 1pm.

Which by the way during the replay on NFL network the bottom ticker has the god damn scores on it, which I had to cover up.

Yes, you must download SopCast first though.

A long piece of tape, some small objects on a portable table in front of the tv, you'll be able to cover up the scores somehow. Just takes some creativity.

Though it is quite awkward...

thanks for the tips, but i'm not sure preseason is worth the effort.

Another note on the NFL Network replays, they don't show the game in it's complete entirety, as for example last week they skipped from the 12 minute mark in the 2nd quarter to the 6 minute mark in the 2nd quarter.

Granted, they edit out the duller moments of the game but still something worth noting.

The person who's running the channel looks to be running the past few week's of WWE programming until the game tonight. More than likely once the game starts then that channel will switch right to the Pats game.
