I mean, its preseason and it means nothing right? So remember, this forum is NOT the place to discuss tonight's game...if you find any areas of improvement you will be considered a Chicken Little. If you find positives you are either a Homer, or someone that posts 30+ times a day, and your thoughts and prognostications are automatically validated by your post count.

So, come out and declare your allegiance now... which are you, a chicken little or a homer? Neither you say? You just want to discuss X's & O's ? Perhaps you need another forum, because if you comment on tonights game in any respect, you better have dozens of posts/day or you obviously don't "get it."

Just play the game without any injuries and get to the real season Sept 4th.

Where's the choice for being BOTH a Chicken Little and a Homer? I proudly consider myself both!!

Chicken Little thoughts - I hope Brady (and the rest of the offense) plays at least one series tonight and looks ready for the season. If they don't I will be a little worried about that; I hope Matt Cassell doesn't look as God-awful as he has so far, and if he does, that there is some sort of back-up plan (lterally and figuratively); I hope the defense can make one stop in the running game and that the middle doesn't look like Swiss cheese again.

Homer thoughts - it's preseason and probably all subtrefuge. Why should we show anything until the regular season starts? BB is probably saving everything (since we play "punchless" [a media description, not mine] KC in the first week) for Lord Favre in week 2 where we will kick the Jets and BB's hated protege all over the field.

See, you can have your cake and eat it too!

Looks like I fit into this catagory as well. The game means very little to me.

If they look bad there is no way I believe this will carry over into the regular season. This happens every year.

No injuries and preferably entertaining enough to devote the night to.

And if they look good, "We're going to the Superbowl, baby!!" See how well that works for you? I don't know why more people on this site don't approach preseason this way!

If we look bad, "who cares, it's preseason."
If we look good, "Superbowl!"

Don't other teams fans approach it this way! ;)

I want Asante Samuel as goat of the game - Giving up the winning TD pass from O'Connell to Gaffney who Samuel is covering.

Thanks for taking my post in good fun, people. I love the Patriots and love discussing them, and reading everyones discussions. I just get disappointed when people's opinions/observations are dissed and threads degenerate into sweeping judgments about people's qualifications and the inevitable name calling.

Here's another vote for an injury free game....and oh yeah, our backup QB's looking good :) ( Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

I expect the Patriots to finish between 12 - 4 and 14 - 2 this season no matter what happens tonight.

And, just be thankfull you all live in the boston area and get to watch the game. I'll have to keep myself from this place until I've had a chance to see it on the NFL network on Saturday.

Now that is funny stuff right there......LOVE IT..chicken little V homers.

I am a huge homer - preseason is meaningless......all I care about tonight is no more injuries, PLEASE.

Me as well...I just can't all that worried about the preseason..there are always concerns..like injuries..BUT..why should they show all kinds of real plans?? for what a preseason win?? Means nada...

For me, if Brady doesn't play a down, then the sky is falling (at least for now)--no sarcasm intended. The 1st real game is two weeks away, so worrying about stuff now is a way to cope with the wait.

I hope we see starters for a brilliant series off the bat. After that, Chad and CJ can play every position on both sides of the ball for all I care. Heck, call in Bauta.

Actually, I hope there's some clarity on the QB and DB situations. I think there will be. And soon we get to see real roster cut downs, which almost guarantees one unexpected cut.

BTW, wouldn't it be grand if Izzo got a sprained thumb or something little to hit the PUP? :D I don't wanna see him cut, really, but I'd love to swap his roster spot out for a young'un.
