Skip Bayless: "Brady will suffer with the loss of Donte Stallworth this season"

On ESPN'S 1st and 10 segment today,,Skip was saying how Brady will have some problems moving about in the pocket this season with his injured foot and will be more immobile than ever before and therefore struggle and will have a much harder time this season in doing what he did last year

He says Moss will be nowhere as efficient as he was early last year and both Moss and Brady will suffer with the loss of the almighty Donte Stallworth not being on the field and the defense will key on Moss with consistent double teaming

He then goes on to say Philadelphia was the team that 'figured them out' with the blueprint crap to beat the Pats and NE was never the same after that.

And Not one mention of the fact that the team still has Welker and also Gaffney who may certainly provide more punch to the #3 WR than Stallworth ever did - Total lack of respect for these two solid receivers.

What an A-Hole Bayless is - I know for sure he is a Colts fan as he picks them just about every year so in reality its really no surprise.

We weren't the same after the Philly game but that had more to do with moving into winter than anything else IMO. You can make the same argument that we were more prolific when Stallworth was playing more early but, again, I think it was more weather related. Including the Philly game we averaged 29.7 PPG from that game to the end of the regular season even in some harsh conditions.

Stallworth wasn't the starting WR at the end of the season. He'd been replaced by Gaffney.

The key thing that no one in the media seems to know is that Gaffney had replaced Stallworth in the rotation by the end of the year. SO in turn Skip is saying this team will struggle because of the loss of a 4th wide out, Moss being double teamed (there is a shocker), and a foot injury (which by all accounts is not serious though I will give him this one because I am concerned about it too).

Brady could be affected by the injury, he may not be. Who knows? Why try to make any sort of prediction on that right now when we'll be able to see how well he moves in the pocket in less than three weeks, maybe even tomorrow.

The Giants paid more attention to how the Browns played the Patriots than the Eagles, if you believe some of the reports that have come out. If your memory is hazy, the Patriots' offense scored 27 points in that game and it started a six game streak where the offense scored 39.2 points per game. What does that say? "Blueprints" don't mean squat unless you have a) the coaching staff to accurately determine the best "blueprint" and b) the players to implement such a blueprint. You also have to bank on Belichick dropping the ball in terms of recognizing the weaknesses and making adjustments. How many teams in the league, let alone ones the Patriots play this year, enter the season looking like they have the firepower to implement such "blueprints"? Few, if any.

Give me something a little more legitimate than bleuprints, Skip, you douchenozzle.

Bayless needs to grasp at straws to justify his incredibly stupid prediction that the Patriots will have a losing record this season. Does Bayless know that Stallworth only started 9 games last year and none in the playoffs?

I do think the loss of Stallworth will hurt the offense if Jackson or someone else doesn't step up into the #4 WR slot, but it definitely won't be a devestating blow.

Stallworth did have some big plays. Let's not minimize what he did. But he was inconsistent. He was a big factor in some games most notably the Cowboys game, but he was also a virtual non-factor in others.
