If this ends up being true and the Dolphins go with Ricky Williams instead of a very talented Brown you know that Parcells has gone off the deep end.

So Brown is having a lousy preseason - Big freaking deal!

Randy Moss has not had a great preseason either but I don't see the Pats cutting him

If this rumor is true then I guess Parcells really does want another #1 pick in 2009 because Brown was doing well until his injury last year and may be the key player in that offense this year.

Chris Mortensen is one of the most unreliable reporters in sports.

Case in point.

Yet after reading the link you provied it didn't seem like Mortensen was reporting anything, merely bringing up a possibility.

There's pretty terrible precedent for RBs returning to form after that type of injury. If he's cut or traded you can bet it's because he is no longer what he once was.

If that does happen, the next sound you will hear is Aqua blowing his pea sized brain out with a cap gun.....................

Everybody on that team has a pricetag. I bet Parcells is floating all the rumors he can to get a gauge on anybody worth anything.

I didn't expect Brown to be ready to go at the beginning of this season, but I would be surprised to see him cut. He may not be 100% this year but he's a better option for the next two or three years than Williams. And last year as I recall Brown didn't show much in preseason and their HC was on him, but then he was off to a great start before he was injured.

100% Agree with this statement. Every single player on the Dolphins roster is on the "block" for this season into next year. If Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas can go, anyone can go. He is going to rebuild the Dolphins from scratch. Roster will in no way be the same at all in 3 seasons from now.

Must be hard to Dolphins fan to cope with the fact this injury was caused by him trying to make a tackle after an interception, courtesy of the Pats none the less.

Appreciate the agreement, but I wouldn't say he's throwing everybody overboard, he just wants to know what they're worth.

Rick Pitino is the only coach I've seen completely cut a team. doesn't make sense to cut a guy if he's worth more to you than you'll get.

I don't think he's ever shown much in preseason. Before he got hurt last year he was the only bright spot on the entire Dolphins team, and he was very close to the top in rushing yards and TDs despite a positively miserable offensive line and no air attack to speak of. I can't imagine Parcells cutting him, whether he loves Ricky Williams or not.

Dug this one up to demonstrate how many ******s are in the media liike Mortensen who actually thought this huge talent was getting ousted - If there was any doubt Brown is the best player on that team it was erased yesterday -

Ronnie Brown is a stud, too bad hes a Dolphin and not a Patriot
