From today's globe Patriots Notebook

The Patriots appear to have dodged a bullet with the leg injury to safety Brandon Meriweather.

A league source said Meriweather should be 100 percent by the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs Sept. 7. However, he could be done playing for the preseason.

great news....:D

What's with all the injury news wafting out of Foxboro? Creepy.

Adalius Thomas Broken Wrist?

I was sitting 2 tables away from Adalius Thomas last night. Attending the Chaka Khan concert in the Showcase Live venue at Patriot Place Monday night. Adalius was there with his wife... He was sporting a fresh fiberglass cast on his left wrist.
Did this happen in Tampa Bay? or was it pre-existing?

I don't think AD played in Tampa, maybe it was from the Balt game.

If true, this is good. I'm glad to see more Meriweather fans here too. All I recall at the end of last season was people at this board exclaiming how he was a "bust."

He's a young safety. That's reason enough to celebrate his prospective return.

Ugh, that sucks. He'll be able to play, but a few years ago Vrabel was much less effective with a similar injury.

I believe in BB and thinks he knows better about the NFL and the Pats than any on this board.

So, if he has a player on the team, that player will always have my full cheerful support as long as BB has him.

That said, any injury to any player on any team is a sad news to read and I am glad that Meriweather is ok.

This guy is only semi glass so far.

Oh man, what a relief, it was in the back of my mind since it happened. Whewwwwwwww !

You'd think so, but you should have seen the preseason game thread Sunday night. The Pats are doomed to 0-16 according to some of them.

Is there a link to this story? Or What is the source
