Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

Just another AFC East basement dweller who wishes they had a chance this season.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

That would just be a silly comment if we'd be caught "cheating" (used loosely) at the end of last year. Given that it was at the beginning, well . . .

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

I just can not understand this whole "age on defense" crap I keep hearing. We have gotten YOUNGER and FASTER, but fans of other teams and announcers keep saying the pats are showing their age... WHAT!? I don't get it.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

Let em talk. Two losses in the preseason mean nothing. If anything I'd rather lose NOW while it means nothing and where we can learn what needs to be fixed.... rather than during an meaningful regular season game.

I know there is a lot that needs to be improved on and fixed... but rather now than later.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

It's called wishful thinking. Every year they post about how the Bills/Fins/Jests are going to take down the Patriots, how this is the year, and though no one is predicting them to even come close, they've got a special feeling this year, which has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that they are a fan of the team they are predicting to take over the division. All the rookies will step up, the veterans will improve their play, whatever crap quarterback they have playing for them will turn into the second coming of Joe Montana, and the Patriots, who apparently have been in decline since 2001, are ripe for the picking. And then by week 6, the talk of the Pats wrapping up the division starts, and nary a word is spoken about how incredibly stupid their predictions were in the first place.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

And all of this is taking place in the does not count preseason..

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

I love the guy who said that the D's average age is 33. I have no idea where he got that number, but the starters as listed on ESPN's depth chart have an average age of 29.3.

This isn't even counting guys who'll see significant time like Green (29), Mayo (22), Crable (23), Wheatley (23), and Meriweather (24), to name a few.

Why do fans/commentators/journalists feel that sheer volume is an acceptable substitute for fact? I'd be embarrassed as hell if I was spouting off about another team and one of their fans said, "You're wrong, and here's why."

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

Oh those whacky Bills, can't even support their own team yet they can talk trash about other places.... sigh...

Maybe this will put us back in the underdog role, remember thiose days? they were kind of fun.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

Nuthing but Bulletin Board material that will be posted in the lockers of the Patriots before the next Bills game. Bring on the hate and the Patriots will turn that into motivation.

This is laughable ...

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

Where's that picture of the angry Buffalo Bills fan?

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

The pundits like to jump on a theme, many (most) just rehash what some other pundit has proclaimed rather than doing their homework.Case in point, before Corey Dillon they would often claim"The Patriots dont run the ball/or can't run the ball".If you looked deeper, you would see that they were middle of the pack with rushing attempts and rushing yards gained, and thats the point, they(pundits) dont do their homework, just rehash what someone has quickly assessed, often incorrectly.

It's had to be an underdog after going 16-0, but if the other fans buy it, I'm in favor. Won't they be surprised!

National media just talks about recognizable names ... so on defense, it's Bruschi and Harrison ... and people (fans and media) jump to the conclusion that the defense is old - especially after signing Lynch. Other teams knowledge of the Pats is superficial - just like I couldn't tell anybody much about the Bills. I'd bet half the fans of other teams think Seau is still on the roster.

People like this live vicariously through their team. In order to maintain their sense of self-worth, they have to come up with a rationalization for their team's failures. Discrediting the team that beat them accomplishes that.

As far as Bills fans go, that site is rather juvenile. BillsZone has a lot more intelligent conversations.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

They are still in shock from going 0-4 in SB's. ... 0-4 is life changing isn't it ... the proof is in the pudding.

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

Oh those little Bills fans....when was the last time they were in the playoffs? I guess NY has some really smart people in it LOL

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

If Tom Brady gets injured for any extended amount of time, Buffalo is a shoe in for the AFC East title...

Some Bills fans just amaze me.

Those hillbillies don't deserve a team ... i hope they go to Canada.;)

Re: Wow, Bill's Board going off on Pats

It's from the official Buffalo Bills site, what do you expect?
I'm sure you also find some "classic" stuff from the Pats site too.

The offense looked good, but its preseason. We'll see in a couple of weeks when it counts.
