Camp Battles: Update Preseason Game 2

Not much to argue with
1) I like Thomas as a 7th DL instead of a Ventrone as the 10th DB.
2) I like a 3rd TE instead of a 9th OL since we have two more OL's available from PUP later in the year. We don't need two inactive OL's.
3) Alexander is better than Guyton on St's and in coverage.

I am with you, a 7th DL is important based on the schedule. They play a lot of running team early in the year.

Pollard is crafty, he can find the open spots in a zone and make a few key 3rd downs. I don't think he plays special teams which could be his downfall.

Alexander is no superstar but Hobson has shown nothing at all, at least Alexander can play on teams.

The other change I would consider is cutting Yates in favor of Stokes or a full bottle of original Gatorade.

Nice job with the roster Metaphors.

Kansas City - Run
NY Jets - Run, occasional deep ball
Miami - Run
San Francisco - Run
San Diego - Run, some pass
Denver - Run, play action
St. Louis - Balance
Indianapolis - Pass
Buffalo - Run

Pittsburgh - Run
Seattle - Pass
Oakland - Run
Arizona - Balance

OK folks, got a homework assignment for you. Analyzing line play is not my strong suit so I need help with picking a 7th DL candidate. In your post-Tampa game threads, please include your thoughts on the DL play of Santonio, Fafita, Titus and Kenny Smith. If the reviews are positive, I'll reflect that in next week's edition.

I still get the impression that Yates is highly thought of by the coaching staff, so let's give him another game. Besides, Gatorade is pricey and might not fit under the cap.

Fifita is basically a NT..so unless he really shows something he'll be cut. I think the battle will be between Thomas, Titus and KennyS...and really, the latter will have to show a lot to make it. I also think Yates won't be cut; too many injuries, he's a solid player..maybe not the starter, but also remember, Neal will be back after a handful of games. Stokes wa sout today..so another injury?? The OL is a concern with so many injured.

The BOR post-Ravens roster picks for DL: Seymour, Wilfork, Warren, Green, Wright, LeKevin, Santonio

Adams wasn't cutting it.
Kenny Smith surprised with his play against the Ravens reserves, but I still keep Santonio whom I know can back-stop Sey and Green in real time. It's close though.
Fifita struggles, but he works his tail off and made some hustle plays. I'd consider giving him a chance on the Practice Squad.

As was the case last year, I think Santonio will nose out Kenny Smith.

That was my impression as well, but I can't seem to get all the subtle points of line play that many of you are hip to...gap responsibilities, positioning, leverage, hand/footwork techniques, etc. This board is like my "Consumer Reports" for line play. If you guys are recommending, I'm buying.
