Peyton rumor...

Interesting. We'll see if it has any validity by this time tomorrow ...

Away, Internet!

Too bad if true - and I mean that sincerely. With the possible exception of the Jets I'm perfectly happy to see us compete against every other team's top players - and hope the same thing for our team as well.

But my take early on after hearing about his surgery was that it wouldn't surprise me to see him miss regular season games, just because complications can and often do occur whenever someone has a procedure.

Hmmm . . . if so I owe the guys at work Donuts+; I'll have to look up on my chart what half the season earns them :D

Suckish. I hope that's not true. As much as I despise him, I respect the hell out of him and hope this is not correct.

Bogus internet rumor started days ago and PFT did not even get a hold of it. I knew people would start stuff about Peyton eventually. He has been seen around camp by a few fans lately.

Apparently he is on track.

Of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, Dungy said, “He’s doing fine, on course. He’s moving better and doing a lot of rehab work. I’m not sure exactly when he’ll start practicing, but he’s doing fine.”

Manning has been out since the beginning of training camp after undergoing surgery to remove an infected bursa sac from his left knee.

We should probably get this thread locked based on the date of the rumor.

I hope he plays, I don't wish injury on anyone - especially a guy who has played that many games in a row and at such a high level. But believing the information that the team puts on an injured player in the NFL is not a smart thing to do. ;)

I know a few people who have seen him. He's fine. But, still in rehab and also avoiding the media. Once the infection was gone his leg was weak from not being used for 3 weeks while he was on antibiotics.

Drama.......

People will worry and speculate until he is practicing again with the team. I understand that.

I wish the guy best of luck in his recovery - no ill will. I want to see Peyton at QB vs the Pats - not Sorgi. I bet Peyton will be back in no time.

I for one also am wishing a speedy and full recovery for Peyton,While I don't care for the Colts I realize that this quarterback is going to go down as one of the best ever to play the game and an injury to keep him out a decent amount of time would be sad for the whole league

More rumor BS that isn't true? I just want to know one thing....

When did Tomasse get a radio job in Indy at XL950?

So you're saying there was an infection?

I'll believe Peyton missing a regular season game when I see it actually happen.

Bogus rumor, probably started by some guy that wanted to draft Manning for his fantasy football team.

As much of a Pats fan as I am, I'm also almost just as much of an NFL fan. I live to see the Pats beat the Colts, but I don't want the outcome of a game to be determined by an injury.

There is no money involved. They give him all the Twinkies he wants and all he has to do is report things that aren't true.

Although I don't believe the out for half the season rumor to be true at all. I don't believe anything coming out of the Colts organization concerning injuries. Marvin Harrison was day to day for 2 1/2 months last season.
