JOHNSON WANTS TO BE OCHO CINCO, LEGALLY

http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill

Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson was fined $5,000 for wearing “Ocho Cinco” on the back of his jersey before a game in 2006.

To avoid getting fined, Johnson hasn’t done it since then. But Johnson now has a plan for how he can get away with having “Ocho Cinco” spelled out over the “85″ on his back.

We’ve learned that Johnson has taken the first steps in the state of Florida toward legally changing his last name to Ocho Cinco.

Seriously.

that is hilarious.

He should change his name to Bigmouth McTalksalot.

I'm glad he spends so much energy and time on things other than football

This would be the coolest thing ever.

Seriously, though, his antics = people not *****ing about the Patriots. Keep it going all season, Mr. Ocho Cinco.

I thought it was funny seeing how pissed off he was last night when the Bengals offense went 3 and out around 3-4 times in a row to open the game. The expression on his face was like "I can't believe I have to play for this team for another year". With Housh and Johnson, there is no excuse why Palmer can't get it done. Also, if Chris Perry can stay healthy, he will beat out worn down Rudi Johnson. I really like Perry. But if Johnson legally changes his name to Ocho Cinco, he is a weirdo.

Hey don't hate, BB LOOOOOVES Ocho Cinco, maybe with C.Jack on his way out the Pats could be in for some of ol' 85 next season

More like Ocho Nocho LOOOOOOVES BB. I'll take Randy and Wes and something similar to '07 over '85 anyday. Tony Eason vs. Tom Brady? Gaffney is our other wide.

Besides, we don't need his cap hit and Brushi would probably choke him to death by the 2nd practice.

that is hilarious.

I agree, I'd love to see it happen. Thing is, "Ocho" would have to be his first name, so they could only put "Cinco" on his jersey. That is, unless he changes only his last name. Then, he'd show up in the game program as Chad Ocho Cinco.

I love Chad Johnson.

One of the biggest Pats supporters there is and one of the most entertaining guys in the league.

Not just a number but an IQ............

Doesn't Jonathan Papelbon (#58) call himself "Cinco Ocho"?

I love our borderline red-neck closer, but he could've been a bit more original.

He could always change it to Iamanattentionwhore Ochocinco.:singing:

pls chad make it happen... i'll buy 5 of your jerseys... i love the freakshow!

I never understood what the big deal is with Chad being so good as I never saw a bengals game where he was truly special

IMO Should change his name to Overratedo Wide Receivero

And he is still better than 95% of the wr's in the NFL......very talented player. I don't think there is anything wrong with Jackson. He's not getting arrested, or doing drugs, he's a guy who likes to have a good time, and he has a big personality.

Nothing wrong with that - IMO.

Being over the hill hit you pretty hard, huh?

Anyway, I think this idea is hilarious. Johnson is, by far, the most entertaining person in the league. The guy would look damn good in a Pats uniform (even though that would never happen).

Football is sposed to be entertainment. Ocho brings it.

I will confess that he's probably better enjoyed from afar though.

He is only changing his last name.

Sad that last year he gave up on his weekly new TD celebration when the team started to suck.

What if he finally does get traded and that team has an already well established # 85?
