The Patriots have begun to take the field for their 6:30 p.m. practice inside Gillette Stadium and DE Jarvis Green and DE Mike Wright have joined the team.

This workout is in full pads, an indication that Green (shoulder) and Wright (presumably his foot) are off the physically unable to perform list.

The following players were not at practice (per Reiss)
QB Matt Gutierrez

WR Kelley Washington

CB Jason Webster

CB Jonathan Wilhite

S Antwain Spann

DB Lewis Sanders

CB Mike Richardson

S James Sanders

S Rodney Harrison

RB Kyle Eckel

G Stephen Neal (PUP)

OT Ryan O'Callaghan

C/G Russ Hochstein

OT Matt Light

OT Oliver Ross (PUP)

TE Stephen Spach

WR Sam Aiken

DAMN, why do I get this sinking feeling that the injury bug is back with us this season? :(

On the positive side, the front 7 is at its full compliment, is it not?

Nearly a quarter of the team is missing. 17/80 = 21%

This sucks.

nothing is season ending since they would be on injury reserve, all are day to day im not worried until the season starts , look at it this way if they arent on the field or they dont play in this meaning less pre season they cant gey hurt longterm

There are two places that are really hit OL and DBs...7? That is not a good sign...I knew Hochstein would be out as he limped off the field..LSanders?? Spann? The list grows...

Not a big deal at this point. Teams are more cautious with injuries this time of the year. I bet Belichick is even more cautious because of the 80 man roster. Some of the guys who missed tonight's practice have little shot of making the final 53 man roster anyway.

We are still almost a month away from the start of the season. To think that most of these guys won't be at or close to 100% by then is just unneccessarily negative.

I agree 100% and I think the lack of additional camp fodder because of the limited number of roster spots is also playing a part in the Pats cautiousness.

I do recall seeing Gutierrez grabbing at his elbow after his final series against the Ravens. It didn't seem serious.

Has being a fan of a Bill Belichick football team not taught us anything?

Come on folks, Bill is F'n with everyone.

I'm sure some people are slightly injured, but I don't believe a thing that comes from our team in regards to IR reports or MIA practice players.

Ernie Adams probably has the sequestered looking at tape or learning systems.
