The next time Skip Bayless is right about something will be the first time. He is a simpleton who makes predictions just to hear himself babble.

The media and former players siding with Favre is getting out of control. They're all making the Packers out to be the bad guys and acting as if Favre is completely innocent in this entire matter. It's disgusting.

The Packers are indeed the bad guys. 20 million dollar bribe? That is pretty bad...just to attempt to get a player to stop playing anywhere.
Seriously, every NFL net guy thinks the trade is great, a good fit.
I'd be willing to bet the only guys who will shoot straight are Eisen and Woodson. Maybe Deion if he gets to say anything. I also think Dukes is a straight shooter, he just really thinks Brett can pull it off. Did he live near a power-plant a kid?

Their relationship with Favre is now completely destroyed. They will never make another penny from him (and GB needs the money badly.) I think this realization hit them in the last couple of days and sending him to NY instead of TB was a parting FU to their once franchise QB.

I don't think they handled it well, but come on... he retired officially (paperwork and everything), the team drafted two QBs to fill the need, then he says, "Eh, just kidding. You know that whole offseason plan you had? Get ready to change it because your Lord and Savior is coming back!"
Then when the team said, "Uh, actually, we'd prefer it if you stayed retired because, you know, it kinda changes the direction we want to move in," he throws a hissy fit, shocked SHOCKED that the packers didn't drop to their knees and service him for his generous offer.
The whole thing stinks.

I wish some one would treat me like crap and pay me $20 million to retire. Why is that a bad thing? They gave Favre another option since he wasn't happy with the teams the Packers were willing to trade Favre. They were accomodating the guy. Their mistake was in the public relations part.
As trading Favre to the Jets, the Jets were reported to have offered the best offer to the Packers by a wide margin. How is it the Packers are saying FU to Favre for getting the best deal possible for themselves.
