from todays' Globe....

Jed Lowrie's two RBIs in the fifth inning give him 22 in 101 at-bats this season. That matches fellow shortstop Julio Lugo's production - which came in 261 at-bats

I think my distain for Lugo is well documented, however, Lowrie is quickly making this a moot point. My only fear is, what will the Sox do? Lugo is untradable with his contract, the only hope is that the Sox put him on waivers and the Yankees claim him, to block a trade, and the Sox "Canseco" them again, and let them have him!

What will the Sox do with Lugo?

Keep him on the DL?, release him? He is not Cora, he can not play around the infield, (hell he can't even play short). The most logical thing would be to keep him out unitl the rosters expand on Sept. 1.

Lowrie is a beast right now. When lugo is healthy can we bench him until he approves a trade? Would anybody even want him?

i dont care what they do with him as long as he doesnt play for the sox.

RBI's are a tad overated but still your right Lugo shouldn't be in the lineup.

That would be great, after all we know exactly how to pitch to him.....over the plate.

I don't get the "RBIs are overrated" thing. Batting average is overrated; RBIs are all that matter.

Because RBIs partly mean that the batter in front of you is good.

If the batter in front of you was that good, they'd be taking a lot of RBIs away. But I digress. The only thing that matters is runs; I don't care how anyone gets them in, so long as they do.

Lugo won't even get the team a bucket of balls. He'll have to be released. Hopefully, into the future Theo has moved beyond getting a hard-on for players that suck.

Its true Lugo doesn't need to play when he gets healthy, Lowrie is doing a great job offensivly, and Cora can come in and play wonderful defense.

9 mill/yr. for that POS. Un-be-liev-able!

I know that Lowrie's defense is a serious upgrade from Lugos, and I think that he is better than Cora. Cora has shown a diminishing lack of range lately (although, he did make a stellar play, right off the bench the other night), but either way Lowrie is by no means a hanicap in the field.
