Because of his draft status and our need, I assume that Mayo will be watched closely by everyone.

Other players that I will be looking for are,Wheatley,Rudd,Redd, Guyton, and Bryant. Certainly the play of the OL will be of interest too.

Who are some of the others?

Slater - I want to see this "Extra" gear that everyone keeps talking about.

Those you mentioned plus the quarterbacks. It would be nice to

come out of the pre-season games with a decent second string

quarterback.

So I was just going to say Mayo and be done.. but as I put more thought into it, I got really excited.. Its not one player I want to see but multiple..

Can Gostkowski kick the 50yd fg and be dependable.. And carry this over to the regular season.... Can Chad Jackson seperate himself from the pack and start opposite of Moss and Welker.. Will Meriweather grab those tipped balls, just like in practice.. And the least talked about player who could turn heads, Richardson.. He had a solid camp last year and am Looking for him to add onto it this year..

And of course lets get back to the Rookies:
Is Mayo the player we are all reading about.. If he steps in like David Harris of the Jets, Pats front 7 is going to be dominate..

And will the schooling Moss has done on Wilhite and Wheatley spead up their education??

This is what I'm looking for.. Not Tom Brady or Moss.. But this..

Will focus on Mayo and Crable..

Jonathan Wilhite is scratched tomorrow.. So I'll have to wait a week

Mayo doesn't interest me tomorrow, because his job's not on the line right now. I'll worry about him come week 3.

I'm looking at the QBs, especially Gut, whom I think is currently on the outside looking in. I'm also looking at Slater, Ventrone, Tank, Jackson and Crable. I think this group contains a lot of the players who either have big question marks or are really clawing for a spot.

I will be watching Chad 'has done nothing in 2 years' Jackson

Chad "MIA" Jackson

Matt Slater.... I am intrigued.

I'm amazed it took eight posts to bring up CJ.

Me Too - Especially since it will be interesting to see who moves into Donte's position as #3 WR

Based on every single day at camp so far the answer is Gaffney with nobody else even close. CJ Jones, Sam Aiken and Chad Jackson are battling for 4th, with the decision likely resting on STs.

Mayo and the QBs are top of my list. One that hasn't been mentioned, Lamont Jordan.

whose chad jackson?

Besides the obvious, I'm also looking forward to seeing Antwain Spann. I just assumed he'd be an easy cut, but it sounds like he has showed up in camp and performed well. Might be interesting or...maybe he will just get cut. Who knows.

whose chad jackson?

My Chad Jackson.

I want to see him, Mayo, Crable, Tank, Jordan, Morris, Maroney, Wheatley, Bryant, Meriweather, Seymour and Slater.

I also want to see if Spann has earned some playing time with the folks who will be with the team this year, or if he will be playing in the fourth quarter against competition that won't make it past Sept. 1.

In all honesty, I want to see every damn player on this team and I want to see them now.

:singing:

I can't wait.

When the Pats have the ball...
1) Can the patchwork OL provide enough protection for the QB of the moment?
2) Can any of the 3 QB amigos sustain a drive and step away from the pack?
3) The battle to join Moss, Welker and Gaffney...will there be a clear #4?
4) TE position Watson, Thomas and ???
5) I don't know that Lamont will be ready but if so, does he warrant the extra RB on the 53?

When the steenkin Ravens have the ball...
1) Does Mayo play like 1st team?
2) Will Tank Williams play at LB, and how does he handle the run?
3) Woods, Crable, Guyton, can any of them set the edge vs the run?
4) The 2008 CB corps, can they really cover and tackle after the catch?

Prediction, Spann makes a big play

Special Teams...
1) We all wanna see training camp fav Slater take it to the house
2) Can Chad Jackson return punts?
3) Can Hanson punt like he did Tuesday in practise?
4) What about guys like Sam Aiken, ST demon or...?
