With game 1 approaching...I am wondering about last year...and how everyone kept thinking Seymour was going to come off PUP...and never did...(until after the 6th game..) It seemed no one was worried at all..Troy, Chad?? That was no surprise at all...but Big Sey?? Very few if any say that coming....
This year..Ross, Neal and Wright might be the Troys and Chads..NOT AT ALL surprised if any of the 3 are PUPed...but Green and Vrabel?? Are either the Big Sey of 08?? I hope neither is..but???

At the rate they're signing guards and tackles, I leave it to your imagination.

I am quite sure that Neal and Ross esp the former will be PUPed....they are like Troy and Chad (last year)..KNOWING about their injuries...I think the signings are as much about Light as Neal...Light can't be PUPed..but might be out awhile...Fans know about their injuries..but what about Green or Vrabel?? I was thinking of others..but Welker, Hobbs came off the list..which was mighty good...but Seymour was suppose to make it on the field last year and did not. (until into the season..)

It certainly looks like Neal is going to be that guy. Unfortunately because I think he needed a little tehnique work this camp and he was on his way to moving up to the outstanding player level from a good player. So his shoulder injury prevented him from working on his two weakenesses this offseason: technique and strength.

lets just hope adam seward gets cut so we can sign him and then we can win the super bowl

THAT I am glad of....the only who could be that player is Green...whose injuries have been unspecified...and somehow I think Jarvis will be back this week OR next..he's the Willie McG of today..... SO..THAT is all GOOD NEWS!!!

Actually Neal is more like the Chad Jackson or Troy Brown of last year...players that many KNEW had injuries remaining on PUP for 6 games...Neal, Wright and RRoss...all had injuries that we know of...so NOT a surprise...I was differentiating Seymour last year from the rest as a player that many thought would be out on the field sometime in camp...never was. It wasn't until later in camp that surgery was known and the seriousness wasn't until the official PUP. What surgery did Green have?? THAT was why I was comparing him to Seymour...the lack of knowing of a serious surgery. I did remember somewhere abouut Vrabes..but he is back anyway. I do think that at least two will end up on PUP...Neal and either Ross or Wright...(Could be all 3..)

Well, he's not on PUP, but, if you need something to worry about (and, admit it, who doesn't?) I give you: Matt Light.

I agree THAT is a big worry...even though I do NOT want to that to happen.. YES..and it is a surprise as well..does anyone know what is wrong??

Hasn't Light practiced? I thought he had and thus has been withheld and not on PUP? Starting the season with our LT on PUP would certainly STBO.

Light is not on PUP.
He cannot be, since he practiced.
However, after practicing the first couple days, he was somehow hurt and has missed the last ~10 days of camp.

Also note that Ryan O'Callaghan has missed a bunch of practices. So the OL has been down Light, Neal, and O'Callaghan.

James Sanders and Jason Webster have also missed well over a week straight.

FYI:
I believe the PUP list right now is:

RG Steve Neal
OL Oliver Ross
DL Mike Wright
DL Jarvis Green

A number of players (including Rodney Harrison, Ellis Hobbs, Wes Welker, Mike Vrabel) have come off it.

Matt Light, James Sanders, and Jason Webster are the big names that have missed ~10 straight practices, but are not on PUP.

Correct....those 4 have missed a LOT!! and none are PUP eligible..Coming off PUP have been 8....Vrabel, Welker, Green-Ellis, Wendell, Hobbs, Ruud, Harrison & Kaczur....What they will have to do in a few weeks is evaluate where Light & O'Callaghan are to see IF they can carry those 2 on the roster while they heal...(if they are not back by then..) If it's a LONG process, they may be IRed....but again, I think it all depends on what the injury is and the severity of it.

Now I love Jarvis Green but he is nothing like Willie Mac.:snob:

Unfortunately you did not read the earlier parts of the thread..and took things way out of context.. AGAIN..for those who did not read earlier...and explained..Willie always seemed to start camp slow..for almost all his later camps, he missed many practices before coming off PUP and getting ready. Whether it was a lot of chronic injuries or some other reason, it was his usual mode in TC. Jarvis seems a bit similar...2 of the last 4 years (04-07)starting either on PUP or an early injury in camp. THAT was the similarity I had pointed out.

Yup. That's why I said NOT on PUP ... But if you're looking for "injuries that turn out worse than you at first thought" that is a big worry.

I agree that this is the list to be concerned about, the seven players who have missed the last 10 practice sessions going into the preseason.

Of the seven, I believe the two that concern me most are the DL's. We badly need wither Wright or Green back. I'm not as concerned about Light. I know that I am in the minority, but I am fine with Britt or Kaycur playing LT.

Also, I would expect that Light and James Sanders would be on the 53 even they are not expected to be available until midseason; they would be inactive each week until they are ready to play. I do expect Ross and Neal to go on the regular season PUP list. There are many players who will take Webster's spot if he isn't back soon. Most of us believe that it may already too late for him. We are ready to go at corner with Hobbs, Bryant, Wheatley, Wilhite and Spann/Richardson.

My bottom line is that I HOPE that one of the DL's will be healthy enough to practice in the next month.

I apologize for my misunderstanding.:(
