On how well he knows Patriots head coach Bill Belichick: “Coach Belichick is a guy I’ve known peripherally since he was at Cleveland and I was an assistant at the University of Cincinnati because his special teams coordinator was one of my best friends, Scott O’Brien, and I used to go up and visit and talk special teams. You guys know Scott. That’s my guy. I love Scotty O’Brien. Then, coach Belichick being there, we met, not that we really got to know each other. So you watch a guy and obviously track his career, and you have an opportunity at times to see him at combines, see him at the Senior Bowl in Mobile (Ala.) and just get to know him a little bit and ask him a lot of questions. I’ve admired him for a long time. It’s going to be fun. I don’t know if ‘fun’ is the right word. It’s going to be an honor and a thrill to go up before the game to shake his hand and chat. I hope he talks to me.”
was quite funny i thought..

Reading that comment makes me think that BB will make it a point to have a nice long pregame conversation with him. Although to be honest I don't know how much he talks pregame to guys he knows and likes.

But if he isnt to busy I would bet he would make it a point to go speak with him especially seeing as they have met a few times and Harbaugh doesn't know where he stands with BB. BB will make sure to let Harbaugh know how he feels.

Harbaugh seems to be a good guy, a football guy, comes from a football family just like Belichick. My bet would be Bill talks to him....

It reminds me of the standup comedians doing their first bit on The Tonight Show and hoping Johnny Carson calls them over to sit on the couch and chat.......

Maybe he will pass BB a note:

Dear Bill,

Do you like to talk to me?

Check:

[ ] Yes
[X] No

Dear John, there is no importance of pregame talk, it means nothing.
, B.B.

My guess is BB respects a guy who worked his way up from Special Teams roots, similar to BB.

So if Belichick just shakes his hand and says, "Good luck", is Harbaugh going to be all :( the rest of the night?

No, but after Harbaugh see's he doesn't have a QB, even by committee of 3, he will probably be pretty bummed......
