Just wondered if any of you knew of any O-Lineman who might find themselves passed up or dropped for slight improvements over the pre-season. Is OL a position that can be improved upon by being in a new system or is just a case of when you run out of gas, you're done?

I have a hard time keeping an eye on all the teams (obviously) so I thought I'd ask the whole forum if they thought anyone interesting might be coming available.

Actually most any NFL OL floats. Their body fat, extremely large stomach cavaties and lungs make them lighter than water.

OTOH, when they run out of gas, do they sink?

G Chris Naeole is available now. The Jags released him in March after he finished last season on IR due to a torn quadriceps tendon. If he's recovered from that by opening day, he'll be a great addition to some team.

Which individuals might be available is open for speculation, will there be some on the street is an unqualified yes. I would expect that any OL brought in this late into camp are being screened for a scholarship to the Scarnecchia Scool of Dance to develop for next Training Camp and emergency signings later in the season.

Shawn Andrews is a RG for the Eagles and a pro-bowler who has refused to report to the Eagles. They have him on the block, reportedly.

He is not really a Pat's type lineman, since he has a weight issue like Woody does. The Pat's prefer a mobile RG like Neal who can pull, screen, get to the second level, etc.

But Woody played for the Pats and there is no doubt Shawn has talent. The Pats have CAP room and draft choices to burn.

Would they deal? Who knows what the status of Neal and Light and O'C/Britt really are, or Ross and Clement for that matter?
