Im sorry but this is pure comedy. Pennington is the easiest QB in the NFL to gameplan around and all you need it decent defensive players. Bretts year last year obliterates anything CP has ever done. Brett is a top 10 QB right now, Pennington is a bottom ten QB right now
Before last year Favre was throwing as many INTs as TDs in a terrible division. I admit I exaggerated but Favre doesn't scare me at all especially considering how much the Jets would have to give up to have him on their team.
good. I hope they get him. He'll get outshined by Brady and his legacy will devolve while Brady's goes up even further. The Jets will massively overpay for him right as they look like they have some signs of life and totally mortgage their future on a guy who is only considered good because of his past and his length in the league. I honestly don't think he's that much better than Chad at this point.

well from my point of view hes alot better than Chad, because to me, watching Chad is always hilarious. watching Favre isnt.
I realize the Packers are hoping some starting QB loses his throwing arm in a woodchipper in the next few days, but honestly, they should just trade him to the Vikes for a mid-round pick at this point.
If you really believe Aaron Rodgers is the superior QB what are you scared of? BB and Pioli had no qualms about trading Bledsoe inside the division, and he looked like he had many more years ahead of him then than Farve does now.
I'm thinking that Green Bay doesn't want to have to completely redo their entire playbook by sending Favre to Minnesota. And I don't think they necessarily believe Rodgers will be better than Favre this year, but they are anxious to start building their future around him. Especially if they will have one less year before he can re-sign elsewhere if Favre comes back.
Say Rodgers has three years left on his contract...
Rodgers has two more years left on his five-year rookie contract, and presumably Childress' staff have picked up Green Bay cuts or free agents in the past, and/or study film and coach besides.
And if the Pack are approaching the situation like you suggest, god help them, because they'll probably need to hold on to Farve well out of training camp until a suitable team's starting QB bites it, so they can get comparable value.
I still don't understand the proposed methodology of sacrificing a season (or two) to evaluate a low 1st round pick you've had for 3 years. Or, if they think he's a better QB than Farve, and Farve won't sit, why not trade him to the Vikes? You'll be playing good QBs like Brees, Manning, Brady and so on in the playoffs anyways, who cares about whatever inferior QBs are in the division.
If anything, this whole hootenanny seems to be about the Packers marketing department being scared some Wisconsin residents will start to buy #4 Vikes jerseys with their disposable income.
