I still don't get the 13-3/12-4 season.

Who exactly is the big threat? San Diego? Indianapolis?

The offense will be as good if not better. Add a healthy Richard Seymour to younger, quicker linebackers and you have a dominant defense.

I think too many people forget that passing offenses actually take 3 years to develop. Don't be suprised if our gains far exceed any schemes opposing defenses come up with.

Kirwan to me is a guy that never holds an agenda and tells it how he sees it.. Sometimes I disagree with what he says but atleast he talks from experience..

Great read and thanks for the info..

Dude, we're not going to go undefeated every year.

Kirwan raises a great point that I haven't thought of (or seen anywhere else).

Will problems that the Giants exposed be resolved?
Look for New England to use a combination of a quick-passing game, some changeups in the blocking schemes, an extra tight end in protections, and more use of the running game to attack the schemes the Patriots fully expect to see this fall. Keep in mind, Dom Capers is now on the Patriots staff and during practice he had the scout defense challenging the offense with pressure schemes. You can count on Belichick to get the problem solved.

The impact of Capers on the defense has been much talked about but I've never begun to think about how that may affect the offense, especially with his history of using zone blitzes and other pressure-based schemes.

It also means if he is occupied with the scout team, the other groups of the coaching brain trust are able to focus their attention on different parts of the game/team. His experience is a great benefit to this team in so many ways.

I think a 13-3 or 14-2 season is in the cards. The reason I don't go higher right now is that there are so many new, young faces in the back 7. This defensive unit, even with an improved Seymour, is going to be a work in progress early in the year, so there might be a meltdown or two come midseason. I expect the defense to come on strong late in the year, just in time for January.

it was 1 fricking minute. there wasn't even any footage of brady's delts/arm/body/ect.

It is an excellent point. Somewhat reminiscent of when Belichick was Asst. HC/Secondary Coach in 1996 and one part of his job was to work with Bledsoe on what the next week's defense would try to do to him.

14-2 is my guess. Being in the west coast 2 week's in a row having to play the Chargers, and in Indy's pumped audio dome. Hope not, could you imagine 2 undefeated reg. season's in a row. Is it September yet?

so, why didn't they show brady and his delts?

Is every one of your posts about Brady's physique? Don't we have a Gentlemen Lounge for that? Oh wait...
