Gammons. continues to be the #1 shill for Red Sox management, a hard title to hold with all the area sycophants nipping at his heels. I guess his "hot stove cool music" annual love fests with Epstein don't prejudice his judgment, in his own mind. Any honest person would recuse himself from writing about this situation, but Gammons is the Peter King of the NFL. His integrity is "beyond question".

Flash: The only hall of fame caliber employee in the entire organization is Ramirez.

He has been instrumental in two titles, more important than the pencil pushers in the front office, no matter how they pat themselves on the back.

These front office frauds have started to believe all the fellating the Boston press has given them, and begun thinking they are the stars of the team.

Great players, with true talent, are like great artists in any profession. They don't cow tow to middle men bean counters like the men who inhabit the Red Sox front office.

The smear job they have done in recent weeks on the best Red Sox position player since Ted Williams is disgusting. They have released through their press minions, the following to the fans:

-Manny is a racist
-Manny is a coward who ducks pitchers
-Manny is greedy
-Manny cares nothing about his teammates
-Manny fakes injuries
-Manny is a liar

I have never seen this kind of vitriol directed at a player who has committed no crime and is #6 in the AL in OPS, and the lead figure during a decade of unprecedented franchise success.

This is an example of bean counters and middle men overreaching, trying to steal the credit for the franchise's success from an actual talent.

The willingness of the press and many fans to swallow this propaganda is laughable, and demonstrates the misplaced power the Red Sox front office wields in NE.

For someone who never posts on this forum but to chastise the Red Sox FO (good job on calling the Beckett/Lowell trade terrible), are you anything more than Peter Gammons with a smaller audience?

Keep wiping Theo's ass. Why post in a forum whose most prominent squatter pi$$es on Jim Rice's legacy, and calls himself a Sox fan?

I guess you approve of the complete hatchet job the Red Sox front office and their media pi$$ boys are engaged in. It makes me wonder about your ethics in other, more important areas of life.

Great question. Do us all a favor and leave before you make another prediction like Drew being unable to handle the pressure of Boston.

And no, I think that Gammons was off base with the article. But to say that Manny is completely without fault in this situation just makes you a Manny ballwasher.

And so is your willingness to swallow the Propoganda fed by Ramirez. I suggest you check out the ESPN Desportes interviews that Manny has done in the recent weeks. They sure as hell aren't flattering to the Red Sox.

Also, how the hell do you know that Manny isn't a liar? How do you know that he isn't selfish? How do you know he isn't greedy? How do you know he doesn't fake injuries? It's pretty ironic that he's missed starts against almost a dozen of the top pitchers in MLB since the start of the season.

You might be the only person to believe that Manny didn't tank it in 2006 when the rest of the world knows he did.

How does one justify Manny pushing down a 60-something year old employee of the organization, or not running out ground balls, etc?

Somebody needs to Photoshop Manny, Nomar and Torre wearing mexican hats ... "The 3 Amigos".

The is a Great Day for Boston's baseball team. The most desperate of the Desperate Housewives is now gone. The poster child for all that is wrong with professional sports (and I do mean child) is taking his selfish, petulant act west to become someone else's problem. Congratulations, Boston baseballers!

You're gonna realize just how much Manny hurts this team when he's gone. I never bought into the Manny hate before but the small difference in his bat is by far outeighed by his pathetic defense, childish behavior and half-assed base "running." And Manny is 36, he's not the HOF he once was, getting any value for him now is an accomplishment.

So I'm thinking what happens if Manny changes his mind & refuses to report to the Dodgers ...

I really could not agree with you more. Im sick to my stomach over this. **** the Sox. They are dead to me for the rest of the season. I couldn't care less if they lost every other game on the schedule. Actually... i hope they do. Serves them right. :enranged:

The same media hatchet job done on Nomar when he was sent to the curb as well. The Sox are very effective at manipulating Sox fan sheep into whatever they want them to think

And what exactly is their motive in this? They want to fool people into being ok with getting rid of stand up players that are better than the guys they're replacing them with? Nomar!?!? How's he doing? How'd we end up the year we traded him? Seriously I can't believe how ill informed some of you are.

I agree with Wildo on this issue. I don't see where the Red Sox did anything to slander Manny. Manny has made his own bed ... he's a big boy.

"Seriously I can't believe how ill informed some of you are."

And you're a regular fountain of information yourself; according to you, if we all don't blindly follow along with what the front office says and does, we're ill informed.

Theo the boy wonder has been trying to get rid of Manny for three years, he was willing at one point to give him away with no takers thank Christ or else last year never would have happened.

How quickly you forget.

Manny was a great player for us and a key part in our championships, but the FO had o make a move with all the comments that had been made up to this point and his very questionable at the least miss of the key yankees game.

i cant believe people are being critical of the front office on this one . they must not be paying attention to whats going on the last month. and i have no problem being critical with theo belive me. he ****ed up the ss position big time. but this is all manny.

If Theo had been "trying to get rid of Manny for three years" and couldn't do it what does that tell you about Manny's perceived value? Do you actually think this stuff through before you post it?
