I was at the Raiders board

Re: I was at the raiders board....

i read through the first page and didn't see the words "videotape" "spygate" or "cheatriots"

for that, they all deserve a medal.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

They've got to live in the past, there's not much in the present for them to live for. JaMarcus Russell is looking like a big busto so far. He's getting paid a LOT of money, and I just have a feeling the expectations are just too high for him to succeed.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

More guys said that the Raiders were at fault for losing than I would have thought, so props to them. I do love the guy who said the night was bittersweet for him even though it was the night he first brought his baby home!! Get a life!!

Re: I was at the raiders board....

Dear god. They are still talking about the tuck game....

You'll have to forgive them. Most Raiders fans have most likely been serving time in prison between now and 2001, so this seems like recent football history to them.

Classic! I love it!

Yeah, because his one career start is more than enough to reach that kind of conclusion...

Haha, I know. Get your priorities straight.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

Do they honestly not know that the NFL ruled the tuck rule was applied properly and the NFL owners opted to keep the rule as is?

Actually if anything it was roughing the passer. The officials got it wrong. We should have been given 15 yards and the first down.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

They should just tuck that one away and forget it...

Re: I was at the raiders board....

I guess if I were a Raider fan I might feel the same way .. oh well it sucks to suck.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

Spent some time with a Raiders fan, talk about stuck on stupid.. they still believe all that Tuck Rule crap.. guess they have to hang on to something.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

From "MileHighRaider"

I find it humorous there's even a WikiPedia site dedicated to the game...

Tuck rule game - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We had a 2nd and 3 with 2:31 on our own 42 yard line. If we convert for a first down, the game is over. THAT's where the problem was, IMHO.

:agree:

The only thing about that though is that the Pats had Charlie Garner for about a 6 yard loss on first down and he ended up gaining 7. But either way, they stopped them short in 2nd and Bryan Cox stopped Zack Crockett I believe (or Jon Richie) on 3rd and 6 inches. If they convert there, best case scenario, the Pats get the ball back at about their own 25-30 with 30 seconds and no timeouts.

But yes, a lot of the Raiders fans there did admit they still had plenty of other opportunities to win that game. Classic game.

Re: I was at the raiders board....

I remember the phantom roughing the passer call on Sugar Bear, at least the ref got this call right using replay - boohoo Faider fans. :D

Yeah, bust is the appropriate word. I mean, he's played a couple of seasons now and we're still not seeing anything from him.

for real, what was the sweet part of the bittersweet? Football is much more important than a kid.

It's like they blame that call for all of the Raider's woes since then and forget about the big fat egg they laid in Superbowl 37 against the Bucs.

Excuse me but is Al Davis still on life support?

What are you talking about? Al Davis has been dead for 30 years. They preserve his body on ice and prop him up in the luxery box.

Is he still responsible for making all those "brain-dead" decisions for the Raider organization these last few years?
