I have bought that mag for as long as I can remember, and I haven't been able to find it this year: not in several supermarkets, several drug stores. The shelves are littered with toilet paper quality fantasy mags and the abysmal Sporting News/Athlon crap (Sporting News was bought out last year and merged with some other company, and all it retains is its name).

For bettors, ProFootball Weekly's preview is a must, and I feel unprepared for the season without it. I'm sure I could get it online, but I'm curious why the only quality mag has disappeared from the shelves.

You may have missed it at your local place of purchase. It comes quite early in June, I believe. I have my copy and I know that there was a thread started on the preview mag weeks ago. They do a 2nd update re-print early on in training camps, don't they?

I must have missed that thread during my post spygate recovery period.

I saw it on the magazine rack within the last month. PFW is no longer the "lead presenter," so to speak, but I can't remember who is (I want to say CBS, though).

the bigger question is what happened to street and smith?? that used to be the bible of pre season mags..

American city Business Journal (Street and Smiths Parent) bought the Sporting news. It talks about it inside the magazine. They decided to use the Sporting news name rather than Street and Smith name.
