Everyone present at walkthrough
Posted by John Tomase at 5:10 pm

The Patriots are in the midst of a light walkthrough in shorts and t-shirts on the back practice field at Gillette Stadium, serenaded by the early acts at the country music extravaganza going on in the stadium.

Of note is the fact that all 11 members of the physically unable to perform list are present. That includes such stalwarts as Rodney Harrison, Mike Vrabel, Ellis Hobbs, Nick Kaczur, and Stephen Neal. Thus far, they’re mainly standing off to the side.

The vibe is very low key. Randy Moss, ever the iconoclast, is wearing a white t-shirt and red baseball cap, which makes him incredibly easy to spot in the sea of gray tees and exposed heads. Then again, now that I scan the rest of the field, a couple of others are wearing red caps, which could be the equivalent of a non-contact jersey.

Jordan in the house
Posted by Karen Guregian at 5:48 pm

Newly signed running back Lamont Jordan was present for the team’s light walkthrough practice this afternoon. He sported a No. 32 on his shorts. He spent some time chatting with former Oakland Raiders teammate Randy Moss while also huddling with running backs coach Ivan Fears.

Speaking of Moss, colleague John Tomase made mention of the red ballcap the wide receiver was wearing in a previous blog entry, suggesting it may have conveyed non-contact since a few other players also sported similar red hats. When asked if the hat held any significance, a Patriot’s spokesperson replied: “It’s just a red hat.”

Does anybody believe anything the fat slob says. I doubt he get any reliable information from the Pats. Maybe Walsh is taping the practice and giving him a copy.

Why do people (not you flasox27, I mean pats1) even acknowledge this person. He should be non existent on this board.

From the sounds of it, he'll be replacing Bradford on the Sox beat pretty soon.

Thank God. Not looking to pick on you but that guy needs to be out of sight, out of mind.

To borrow from what a colleague of mine once said about someone: "Just because [Tomase] says it doesn't make it wrong." However, given his track record, I'd want independent verification of everything, including "the sky is blue."

Personally, I'd want that verification for "Hi, my name is John Tomase. . . ."
