For those forgetting, there's a practice and blog right now :

Chad Jackson misjudged a punt and dropped a deep ball :(
Matt Slater caught a deep TD, he's looking interesting after a return TD earlier in camp.
Mayo had a good hit on Morris and has looked good in camp :

Slater for the #2 opposite Moss??? Just kidding, but I do hope this guy keeps playing football and sticks on the 53.

Chad Jack may be snake bitten - next story I anticpate is ankle injury or something and he misses a 1/2 dozen practices.

I'm happy to hear that Seymour is back. I was starting to worry a little. :)

Cassel took over with the next group and threw a pick-six to rookie CB Jonathan Wilhite.

Uh oh. That's not good.
Pickin' right up where he left off.

Depends on your perspective I guess - with O'Connell and Gutierrez there I'm more interested in Wilhite looking good than Cassel at this point.

Call me crazy, but worrying about anything in a TC practice, especially the 4th one, is a little over-the-top. That said, sounds like Chad Jackson is off to an anemic start.

Funny, I was just thinking that after my post above.....gotta calm down and wait a bit.

He did get one high five from TB yesterday.

Just like you build a season from Game 1, you build a training camp from Practice 1. If Jackson does great the rest of the way, this drop is irrelevant. But at some point he's going to have to start making the catches.

Slater really intrigues me - I have a feeling he'll be a real good returner this season and competing for a WR role (that's role not starter) this time next year.

TC is a perpetual Catch 22. If Mayo decapitates the O-Line and pulls a Bane on Brady, as we excited about Mayo or worried about the O-Line?

If Webster picks of Brady en route to Moss, are we stoked or concerned?

I'm going to try and enjoy the great plays on both sides and let the coaches worry.

That said, there are guys who are never on the right end of play, and that will be stuff we can make assumptions about (Eckel, Jackson).

I read that Mayo destroyed Eckel on one play. I wish I had footage.

That's so true. Can't wait for the preseason games when we know who we want to come out on top.

Same here. When the Pats spent a 5th on Slater, "Mr. I-can't-even-break-the-lineup-at-UCLA," this board went ballistic. It's fun to see him turning into the early TC favorite. With Andrews gone, a standout gunner/KR has an excellent opportunity to not only make the club but contribute.
