ESPN Title Town vote

I thought Boston already won the Titletown crown at ESPN a week ago or so.

nope, I think thats when they made the top 20

I'm betting right now that Green Bay, Wisconsin wins.

No they don't stack up to Boston in terms of all the Championship caliber teams, but for some reason they always turn out to stuff the ballot box, in similar polls.

Boston is Titletown, but I don't think we win (unless everybody forwards the link to their Boston EMailing list :)).

I voted for Beantown. Not sure what Green Bay was doing on that list since they only have a pro football team and haven't won a title in 12 years.

You're not being fair! Think of all the NBA titles that Green Bay has won, not to mention those thrilling, seven-game series that they always seem to find themsevles in, deep into October. And how about those NHL banners hanging over the skating rink outside of Lambeau field?

It depends how far back you want to go. This decade? Boston is the only titletown.

Do you guys see some of the comments on there? One guy said Boston should be number 11...He also says that the Celtics Championships wernt that big becasue basketball was never as popular...HAHA

It's ESPN. Most of those comments are knee slappers.

Why would I want to vote for Boston? Screw Boston and Menino. There
wouldn't let the Pats build there and sent them to Foxboro. I would never
vote for that pile of corruption and crime.

That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Would you want just a stadium and not be able to tailgate in the City, I’m assuming you have never been to Boston before because if you had you would know that were is no room for a huge stadium and a parking lot.

I'm pretty sure they mean Boston and the surrounding area, or more exactly the Boston TV market.

Also... isn't your name Boston Patriot??

Yes, when they were the Boston Patriots. To the poster who suggested my
knowledge of Boston isn't sufficient to comment, I would say you what you
know about Boston wouldn't amount to a pimple on your arse compared to
my knowledge about Boston.

I hope every New Englander doesn't choose not to vote, just because they don't like Menino. Absurd!

would you like a medal?

You mean like.... New England?
Most of it, some of the CT area is actually part of the NY TV market if we want to split hairs. In general, though, since there are 20 cities up there and not just Boston, I don't think they mean to confine the contest to within the city limits, but rather to the market where the teams in that area are located.

Your point?
Let's put it this way, if I went on a rant against Pujos (and no, I don't know what they are either), you'd wonder why my name was Pujo despite my hatred for them.

I think BP's wife must have died or something because he's been a hurricane of disdain lately.
