I took the day off and it looks like I might have done that for nothing. Ohh well I will still enjoy not being there. But I am still crossing my fingers that it will somehow stay away anough for the Practice to stay outside.

Be a big bummer if they moved the first one open to public inside.

Re: Whos going to the practice tomorrow?

Yeah, looks like it will be indoors. Even if it isn't raining at the time, the fields are still going to be wet.

Re: Whos going to the practice tomorrow?

Damn, I was planning to go for sure, cleared my AM schedule and all.

Wonder when they announce??

Re: Whos going to the practice tomorrow?

what time are the sessions (i'm a little to lazy right now :) )

I'm wondering what time they make the call, too. We're leaving at 5 am - I know it'll be after that, but if we don't leave and it's on we're hosed. So we're taking a chance.

I think it might be a last minute decision...as storms and rain for tomorrow are on and off...

That's what I'm hoping. I wasn't aware that wet fields could cause them to cancel, though.

Yes, practices can be moved indoors or canceled based on weather, field conditions, or coach's decision.

This summer, it seem that every time it rains it's a thunderstom. No way they'd take any chances with lightning. Sigh.

Just checked the camp hotline (508-549-0001); Lori Baranski's recorded message said that rain is in the forecast tomorrow but no decision has been made yet.

It does seem that they'll have to play it by ear, though. Scattered thunderstorms all day - it looks like everyone will get one at some point, but it's just when. It's possible that it will stay dry for the two hours practice is on.

And we're off! Football is back.

6:45 in Foxboro - been pouring since I woke up at 6:15 - not looking good for outside practice I would say.

I'm not sure. If you look at the radar, this seems to be the last of the rain for a while in eastern Mass. Most of it seems to be lifting up towards western Mass.:

Still no announcement on the hotline.

Still nothing. Mike Reiss thinks they're waiting to the last possible minute to decide, but he thinks that it will probably go inside.

Just made the announcement. They're indoors.

Day late and a dollar short, as I'm sure you all know by now. Found out two hours into our trek that it was closed, but decided to kill the time and visit the pro shop anyway. Got there and found they were simulcasting the practice to the jumbotron in the stadium. Took pics , but a little funnel cloud/tornado (until they decide) got in the way of getting online to post. Maybe tomorrow.
Bottom line - it was a thrill.
