Re: Jason Taylor a Skin

as long as the giants, cowboys, colts or chargers don't get him i'll be happy with that. we had no room for him on our team anyway, unless he could play cornerback.

I thought he wanted to go to a contender? The Redskins are not a contender. They won't even make it out of their division. I don't believe this trade is true. And if it is, he won't want to play there.

Well they did make the playoffs last year despite the death of their best defensive player and suffering a 4 game losing streak in the middle of the season including the Joe Gibbs 2 timeout fiasco.

Plus the fact they were even able to make the playoffs while in the same division as the Super Bowl champions and the team with the best record in their conference was impressive.

Of course I don't see them as a Super Bowl contender but they should be given the benefit of the doubt as a possible playoff contender this year, a lot more than can be said for the Dolphins.

As of right now, Miami wins this trade.

Could well be true. The Skins just lost defensive end Phillip Daniels for the season because of a hyperextended knee. And Danny Boy always likes to sign the big names.

Brady is smiling about now

The Dolphins could very well have a better season than Washington, which would be pretty funny.

this is sad, i was really hoping Taylor would somehow wiggle his way onto the Pats, whether it was a trade for a pick or released. Its just upsetting that a scrub organization run by a clown in Snyder has to go ruin things for everyone, INCLUDING Taylor. I seriously doubt he wants to go there, but its probably better than the fish at least. Noway Washington comes close to winning the SB next year or in the near future, Taylor would be better off retiring than going to washington!

Does anyone think Taylor will have a say in whether this trade goes through? I mean he already came out and said he didnt want to go to Green Bay, heres hopin he tells Synder and the Dumbskins to go screw off.

The Skins have a solid D and a very good run game. I have not looked at their schedule, but they could be a borderline wild card team.

I could see them or TB making a run at Favre.

I highly doubt the Dolphins will be able to win more than 5 games at best.

I hope they put together another imperfection run this year.

the redskins could make the super bowl on emotion alone. they want to play for sean taylor and that's going to drive them all season. trust me, i think the redskins are going to knock either the cowboys or giants(more likely) from the wildcard spot.

I don't think Sean Taylor is a factor at all this season.

how are the Redskins not contenders? They almost made playoffs last year with a banged up OL missing few pro bowlers and lost Carlos Rogers for the season as well as Rocky McIntosh.

they added weapons at TE and WR and have 1 of the best backs in the NFL. They're contenders.

well it is all good for the patriots; near term anyway.

takes away a speed rusher in 2 games who pats line always had trouble with .

fish get a pick that wont help them until 2010-11 season at earliest (most likely -some rookies do impact but unlikely). This is much better than if this trade was executed before the draft this year.

For the others; it seems all upside:
Taylor gets an upgrade to a 'competitive team; even if it is not a 'contender'. but is not as bad for him as you all are making out.

Take a look at last year; who would have predicted even at wk 16 that the NYGs would win it all. That Pats would be in final 4 was the only given that played out. He mostly wanted to be on a team where guys weren't dogging and going 1-15 or flat out rebuilding. he got what he supposedly wished for even if it is not a top 4 SB contender. Face it anybody that good didn't really have room on their DL or salary cap for him anyway.

Washington fills a void; Fish eliminate a distraction.

seems all win to me.

I think the redskins are one of those borderline teams that are perfect for Jason Taylor. They need that key addition to push them further and make a difference.

I have a lot of respect for the redskins this year, and I think Sean Taylor was a great athlete.

with that said, HEY! at least they have a Taylor back on defense.

and did anyone see how much the redskins lost by when they were eliminated? normally it wouldnt be funny, but they did make a big deal about winning by that much earlier in the year.

i'll enjoy my time in hell

They did make the playoffs.

And actually took the lead in the 4th quarter @ hostile Seattle before eventually being blown out.

how much did we beat the skins by last year? 70-3?

i have a hard time seeing a team win the superbowl led by Jason Campell. If they picked up Favre though i bet they could compete for the NFC championship.
