Somewhat funny, but I disagree with his advice.

Don't cut him and don't start him. It's either a trade, the pine, or stay in retirement. Nobody is bigger than the team.

I think the Pack should just start him. He is their best known option. Its not like Rodgers has shown he can play a la Steve Young. I am not saying he can't but when the 49ers got rid of Joe they knew what they had in Young. Does the Pack really know what they have in Rodgers or might they be safer sticking with the known.

How can Rodgers show if he is any good if he is always on the pine? That's the biggest issue I see for this situation. What happens if they start Favre, trade Rodgers, and Favre retires again? Then they have to hope Brohm works. Start Rodgers, Favre rides pine: fans make a huge stink to pull Rodgers the first time the Pack loses a game. Such a big mess in GB. :(

A surplus of QBs is a good mess to have.

I thought Rodgers looked good in the 2007 Dallas game. Compared to Favre he looked damn good.

one game...How many Backups have managed to get a pretty decent pay day based off one game?

I am not saying Rodgers will be a bust just saying that if I were the Packers I would be OK with finding out a year from now even if that puts him closer to the end of his contract.

When does Rodger's contract end? I was under the impression it was this year?

Everyone forgets that. THey point to 2008 and how great Favre's stats are. He had a good year. Look at his stats teh past 3, 4, 5, 6 years and realize he hasn't done a whole lot.

Everyone says Favre brought them close to teh Superbowl, but a lot of players on that team stepped up to get them close. That last pass in OT of teh NFCCG was all Favre.

WWBD?

3RD OR 4TH round pick perhaps?

Do you think the Packers are going to win it all this year? I don't. If I'm the owner, I want to instill confidence in my quarterback of the future, not placate the primadonna of the past.

Just my opinion.

By the way, I don't like quarterbacks who throw it up for grabs on a regular basis, not that I don't think he was great at one time.
