Leave it to Dungy

I thought he had quiet strength?

Perhaps if he paid as much attention to his son as he does to other team's business, he'd still be alive.

dude you don't have to that insensitive about his son's death.

i agree that the packers should just release favre as per his wish. at the same time, i think brett favre has to realize he's not the center of the NFL. Either you retire or you don't. Make up your mind one way or the other. Quit playing around. He's overrated anyway. He's broken a lot of records because he's played for 15 years.

Just be glad the douchebag wants to join the church after football . . . if he stayed in football you know he'd end up as the commissioner; after all he knows and judges everything.

Ouch BF...I'm not a fan of Dungy's either. I don't hate the guy, I just think he's a huge phony with false humilty.

I couldn't stand the film clip of him telling Seymour he had the heart of a lion...what a crock. and then Seymour telling him "I always respected you coach"...My question is "for what?"

Getting Dungy to keep his mouth shut would be like trying to get Chuck Finley to go to a Tawny Kitaen film festival.

I don't find his comments to be that outrageous.

It's not that they're outrageous, it's that he always has an opinion and he's a coach, no one cares what he has to say about other players or teams. (See the whole Belichick/Bonds comparison from last year.) He's a hypocrite. He wants to be known as this soft-spoken, Christian, nice guy, but he's an self-righteous ugly looking prick.

You'd never hear Belichick talking about the Brett Favre situation, and you never heard Belichick complain when Dungy whined and got the rule changed in his team's favor. He just coaches his team and wins.

guy sure likes to talk doesnt he

And it's always the same two guys, Ladainian and Dungy, the go-to guys if you want someone to chime in.

While I don't disagree with what he said per se, it does seem silly for him to comment on a situation that has nothing to do with him. He reminds me of my relatives. They just love to butt into everyone's business.

While I don't particularly care for your comments about Dungy's son, you pretty much nailed it with this post.

Come come now don't be too hard on Phoney Tony. He's going to be making a special attempt to get back home to his kids in Tampa more often during this coming footabll season even though he lives and works and makes big money in Indianapolis and the saint is making this tremendous sacrifice because "I'm all about family". :D
It's hilarious how the mediots buy the Phoney one. But then again that's why they're mediots now isn't it?

You didn't hear upstarter1? LaDainian is no more.
After last years lay down in the playoffs she's changed her name to LaTisha Tomlinson.
She's always had the earrings but now she has the name to back up her game. ;)

to butt his nose in and pull out his soapbox so he can preach his opinion to the national media.

When players do it, I think of it as just another athlete running his mouth, but when coaching or management says it, I feel it's downright rude and unprofessional.

Of course you do.

Leave it to a Pat fan to find yet another reason to bash Dungy. he could save someone's life, and you'd say he did it just to get media attention.

There, fixed it for you.

Feeling a little defensive for some reason.
