I'd like to see someone in the media put together a complete cronologue of all the Favre retirement/vacillation/equivocation/unretirement/reretirement sound bites from the past 3 or 4 years. Favre has done some damage to his image. The more this lingers on, the more of an arse he appears to be.

Now the story out of his camp is that he has no plans to seek reinstatement any time soon? Ok, I know it is a bluff, but then why go on with this near month long saga to begin with?

Guys in the media like John Madden and Peter King will always worship at the feet of Brett Favre. But a lot of other media people and fans are going to see Favre in a new light. The whole Lord Favre moniker may be true. Favre may not be that great ole' southern boy who everyone loves and may just be a prima donna who doesn't have a problem with hurting his team that has helped to bring him fame, fortune, records, and a championship ring as long as he gets to start for a team of his choosing this year.

When something happens with the Patriots, I won't care about Favre. Right now, the NFL is Brett Favre. It is the only thing of any significance going on right now.

I guess I can talk about some of the useless Patriots related threads going on right now like whether Brady is going to eaten by a shark while surfing with Giselle. But how is any more relevant to anything in reality to the Patriots' upcoming season really?
