Only in Indy...

Check out this pic from Lucas Oil Stadium... how would you feel if they shafted you like this?

Re: Only in Indy...

I'm sure they'll save those tickets for charities. At least a TV on the pole would be nice so you could see the field.

National Association for the Blind?

Re: Only in Indy...

One merge coming up.

Re: New Colts stadium (Merged)

Let me bump this....

And add...

“Thanks to pillars located in each of the four corners, Colts officials say there are about 200 partially-obstructed seats at the new football stadium, and even fewer seats that are totally obstructed - which the team says won’t be sold for games.”

“Larry Hall, the vice president of ticket operations for the Colts, said those totally-obstructed seats are not part of the ticket program and will never be sold for a football game.”

“The partically-obstructed seats will be sold, but not as a season ticket and only after all other tickets are sold.”

Re: Only in Indy...

Couldn't see the other thread from our crappy seats.

200 seats that are partially obstructed? Wow.

Re: New Colts stadium (Merged)

As long as each pole comes with a stripper, I don't see any problem here....

Re: New Colts stadium (Merged)

Wow. Apparently those idiot contractors in Indy were liquored up as well. But whatever Colts fans sit there will be thankful after Vinatieri shanks the prospective game winner against his former team.
I understand their company were based in Boston, actually, near Foxboro somewhere. :D

We'll have our secret weapon, a guy named Billy Volek :)

I do know one thing, I have no idea why they invested in a retractable roof because we all know that if the temp gets anything below 70 degrees or if the wind kicks up to over 3mph, Peyton wll demand the roof be closed.

That's irrelevant. Something about Indianapolis apparently drove them to drink on the job.

That Larry hall guy sure has a way with words. The view from these seats is not unobstructed.

Uh-huh. In fact, it says so on your ticket: partially obstructed.

That's a bad design anyway you slice it.

Were they really that desperate for money?

What do you expect from a bunch of dumb hicks?

The only thing I can say in their defense; don't Pats/Gillette sell the SRO (standing room only) "walking around only" ticket?
So if you have to watch the game from the aisles or walkways at least you have a seat to relax in at halftime or while waiting for the game to start.

You just gotta wonder exactly how clearly they will declare the "OBSTRUCTED VIEW" on the ticket. I can just imagine that those are a scalpers dream if not clearly printed. Buy dirt cheap and sell for normal street price.

The original design had the seats facing away from the field. At least they are improving.

Maybe they just wanted a couple hundred people who could actually say they couldn't see any obvious pro Colts bias from the refs.
