So, I'm walking from the Metro to work today in DC. In the bus stop, there's this poster for a bottled water called Glaceau. It has a picture of TFB drinking said water, and says something like "What Tom Brady Drinks."

You guys seen this? And just in general... wtf? I mean, I never see him on a cell phone commercial, a beer commercial, nothin'... and he's doing bus stop posters for water?

I dunno. Somehow I wish it were beer. But whatever... just found it odd, in general. Not something that'll affect camp or any other such crap, not anything particularly indicative of anything... just odd.

What's odd about it. He's sponsored by a water company, that's owned by Coca-Cola BTW.

He's been sponsored by them since last year. He's doing just print Media advertising for them now, per his contract - No electronic media at all.

Hey, didn't know about Brady's print-only-contract with Glaceau, or the specifics thereof.

Huh.

Still seems like there's more $ in electronic. And if you don't get paid why do ads? But hey, maybe he's got the world's only high dollar no-electronic deal. Or maybe something in his football contract says no electronic. Or maybe he figures electronic is a distraction and print isn't.

Okay Scottie, your turn, I can't figger it.

Hopefully not beer for many years. IIRC active athletes are not allowed to endorse alcoholic products. That's why all those old "taste great, less filling" commercials had retired athletes......

Okay see, that makes sense.

Nothing to see here. Carry on.

Have seen the one in the middle, Brady does this well, extremely photogenic, suspect he has had some good coaching.. while Peyton languishes in piss poor tv advertisements for VISA...

Ya know, I have to say 1 thing...

As a QB, of course I like Brady.

But for entertainment in endorsements, do you really "get" anything out of the water ads? I mean, it's modeling. I like the Manning spots better, with his goofy "aw shucks" (now buy the damn product) sense of humor.

We'll see when the motion stuff comes out. Wonder if Glaceau is going "high concept" or whether we'll be able to laugh a little. So far it looks really pretentious.

And NO that doesn't mean I want to move to Indy and be Tony Dungy's lover. The Glaceau print stuff just looks pretentious.

Tom does that style well, sure. He can pull it off. Yes, he looks like a movie star. Yay.

Wonder if Glaceau is marketed to women? Dunno.

Yeah, saw this one last week, but I think it was in Manhattan.

Obviously, you are not one of the effete metrosexual 'beautiful people'.

Funny, I thought he did pretty well when he hosted SNL. :)
