Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

we're just using that as a hoax so u Pat fans can get all excited about not having to worry about us this year

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

Sorry to hear that; I prefer to live in a dreamworld where MVP-type quarterbacks remain injury-free and play forever, ya know?

(BTW, bursitis of the knee, or "housemaid's knee," is typically caused by repetitive kneeling. This is just one more important reason why QBs should not take a knee over and over, but always run up the score. ;))

"Sorry to hear that; I prefer to live in a dreamworld where MVP-type quarterbacks remain injury-free and play forever, ya know?"

Who said anything about Brady being injured?

I can think of other reasons Payton would be on his knees...

So let me get this straight, you don't like Peyton Manning?

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

Not long enough; I owe the guys at work pizza (at least) for a major Manning injury but this gets them zip.

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

Hopefully for the Colts he'll be back at least 90% by the season. Kind of late to be having kne surgery. I cant see Sorgi taking them far at all.

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

Let's put it this way, people talk about last year's 18-1 season and how close the Pats were to perfection, but watching the AFC Championship Game from a couple years ago and watching The Forehead celebrate was more painful than getting a fingerwave.

I have yet to see the celebration following that game or the one after it. And unless I make a tragic error I never will. Still, I'd prefer to losing to Peyton than his special needs brother; at least Peyton is legitimately good.

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

God damn I thought 4-6 weeks of the regular season.

I mean...aw. Never like to see injuries.

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

Never like to see injuries.
Screw Manning, I like them to him - there are some "events" that could cost me a LOT of money if some "unfortunate" things were to happen.

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

Here's a truly ironic point from that article:

That leaves Manning’s status for the team’s Sept. 7 regular-season opener against the Chicago Bears uncertain.

The irony: it is possible that, even if Manning is out, the Colts would probably still have the better QB in the game.

If the Bears defeat the Colts in the opening @ the Lube I will get a Chargers game-esque high feeling once again.

Actually it'd be even better. God damn I'm pumped for this season.

I don't think so, Sorgi isn't even playable as his 2.8 YPA in his one start last year reminded us.

Re: OT: Peyton Manning Has Knee Surgery

When Bill Polian describes surgery as routine, it usually means that they did a complete reconstruction. After his total BSing of the Harrison injury last year, how can you trust the guy.

It isn't good for the Colts when they look like they will be all banged up going into the season and it is more than a week before training camp. Manning, Harrison, Freeney, and Sanders all may be less than 100% or even on the PUP when the season starts.

I would love to see the Colts to fall on their face, but not for medical reasons.

I just wonder with the surgery 9 days before training camp whether Manning did injure his knee some way that the Colts aren't letting on.

I was going to bring up how horrible he looked as well but then remembered how Dungy had a pre-agreement to let the Titans win the game.

Manning will play in the opener...no doubt. iam sure this is a polian smokescreen and the colts are smart enough to have the surgery at the appropriate time so that it doesnt affect the regular season.

But if he does play and isn't fully healed, there is the risk of further damage. I'm with you, there is no way he doesn't open the new stadium.....
