The roster is at 77.....(including the 5 unsigned rooks..) But even with all signed, they will still be THREE players under the limit...I do think all believe that the roster will be at 80 when TC starts...
So what positions will have additions?? Some think maybe CB...with Ty Law or LB with Seau returning...other think an OL or a TE....
So what three positions do you see additions prior to camp??

I hope Seau will be one of the positions and perhaps another TE.

I would like to ee Law come back and give a veteran experiance in the CB area

I'd put RB in the mix for some added training camp depth - you can never have too many RBs at this time of year. TE should be a given - and OL is always an area to at least give some shadow roster guys some time

Same with DB - especially given our defensive scheme... its all aobout depth on the shadow roster at the very least

DB, LB and RB are the three that I would reach out for.

Webster is likely one of CB's.
Alexander is likely one of our LB's.
We don't have a short yardage back or plan for 5th back in case of injury (Eckel?)

I know many like UDFA's for these spots, but it would ggod to have vets with one year contracts instead.

I sure hope Hanson isn't the only punter in camp.

I think he will be they cut the other two guys after mini camp. I guess he had the compitition than and Hanson won (JMO)

I hope/think Seau will be one of the 3 and Ty Law would be nice (but I doubt it).

I see the other spots going to guys who probably wouldn't make this team anyway. I'ld guess o-line though because of Neals health maybe RB due to Morriss health, basically anywhere where they need an extra body because of health.

I think TE would be a postion they may still want a vet at.

Runningback, tight end, and linebacker.

There is a fine balance between preparing a guy for the season and too many reps. Given Morris' health, the milage on Faulk, and the fact that Maroney has had nagging injuries in the past, I would not be surprised to see one more rb brought in to go with Green-Ellis, Evans, and Eckel for camp purposes.

Tight end seems to be the area of most need on the roster at this point. Very thin, somewhat injury prone. One more body is likely needed there.

Linebacker, more or less I just hope Junior comes back for one more go.

Let me put it this way:

I think Jonathan Wilhite might be wearing a different number at some point.

You don't think Wilhite will stay at cb?
Why not?

No, not because he'll change positions. I think there could be another, more famous #24 waltzing into camp, though. ;)
