Hmmm. What do you think the chances of having another incident (with extreme punishment) are in the next few years. I would imagine, as has been beaten to death, that there are plenty of other teams "CHEATING ***!11!!" around the league.

Is that SGT. Bilko??

An Ex-PA police chief? Well, if Arlen Specter taught us anything is that the folks in PA are completely non-biased when it comes to football.

hahaha I thought the same thing when I read that.

His office will be at Gillette Stadium since the Patriots are the only team

that allegedly cheat.

Got to admit. As a cop, that job is probably as good as it gets.

Ridiculous.

This guy is going to do what? Be at every game?

Is your town's police chief on the scene of every traffic stop? No. That's why you have other cops. This guy is a director. There will be people under his employ that will be at each game (in all likelihood).

This is like Homeland Security. I guess their's isn't the only Patriot Act.

How stupid is Goodell?

What he's done, effectively, by hiring this guy and releasing the story is too bring all this back to the top of the pile again - so it can rehashed again and again.

Someone please ban Goodell from anymore league meetings. :banned:

He will be the Director of Strategic Security, persumably he would have some sort of a team to direct.

In all honesty I have no problem with this being a new position if this guy can catch us doing something wrong than we deserve what ever comes are way for not having cleaned things up since Spygate broke. I just hope this guy isn't going to be doing any digging into the past even if it is another team lets move forward police things better and we shouldn't have a problem.

And Commissioner Clouseau strikes again.

So if this guy ends up catching the Jets or Colts not following the taping rules you'd still call Goodell "Clousseau"?

Given that my perception of his level of incompetence and stupidity has nothing to do with the team that was caught in spygate, absolutely.

The NFL can do whatever they want, they are their own entity. They report to the owners and as long as Kraft has a say so, I'm fine with it.

My issue is with that dufuss Goodell and his inability to do ANYTHING correct in the public forum - From making that stupid comment about the Players Union and Upshaw last week (In which I completely AGREE with Roger, but the media is NO place for the commissioner to air those types of differences) to his appointing this security guy and making that public.....for what??

That's IN HOUSE stuff that can be kept quiet - Tell the owners, not the Associated Press for god sake.

Again, he never can see past the comment or move he is about to make. What's the 'ole saying? He can't see the forest for the tree's?

I'm pissed today. Anyone want to fight about Tommy vs. Peyton?

I have to give the slight edge to Manning. Hodson never really did all that much for us.

Look, this is a PR move by him - Nothing more. This is a move that is made to appease the Peter King's of the world so they write a nice story about him and then in the process re-hash the Patriots Camera Gate scandal.

You think anyone will be using a camera to tape signals for the next 20 years? Come on, seriously.

In fact get ready for the next level of craziness - The fan that spots a cameraman and records it on their video phone and sends it to Mike Florio and then it's on PFT and then this guy's doing a investigation and then Goodell makes a PR nightmare out of nothing - Mark my words...it's going to happen.

As long as he keeps the Dolts in check for crowd noise infractions, I'm good with it.
