I see two factors in winning the SB this year except anything major happening. Each is about even imo. We score once more and we win or we stop them at the end and we have another SB.

Running the Ball? We did not do much against the G-Men when the passing game was hurting. With a healthy Sammy Morris I don't see this problem this year. The O-Line must be solid as well.

Rushing the passer was a concern last year. With Mayo getting more playing time later in the year I see this as a plus. I believe the defense will should be a bit better than last year.

We came so close the last 2 yrs from winninng both SB's.

Your thoughts?

how did it take you to come up with that drivel:rolleyes: I'm over -ucking whelmed and blown away:rolleyes:

i dont think there is anything really specific we need to do or change. We can throw the ball all over the place it showed last year that is was dominant. The giants in the SB just played better on the dline, that wont happen the majority of the time. Id like to see us work on the run game though, we know we can throw but we should get LMoney going, it would be sweet if he got 20 attempts a game this season, cut back on the passing a bit so we can be more balanced.

After watching the Super Bowl three times I've determined that if the Patriots could have found a way to score more points than the Giants, they would have won the game. ;)

running more on offense, blitzing more on defense.

i'm going to call out sammy morris lovers again. was he really that impressive? to me he was just a fast scrawny dude playing with a chip on his shoulder. i love to watch him get yards, but i think two things when i think sammy morris.

-nice guy to have on kick returns in madden 06

-the play in the beginning of the year when he broke a big gain then dived for the endzone. he loses the ball at the end of the play.

that kind of desperation is entertaining, but ball security is higher up on my wish list. and if you know the play i'm talking about, you know that dive was a mental error on his part with not being happy with a 20yd gain.

Defense plays 60 minutes and not 58

You don't find a guy whose 5 healthy games had him on pace for 1184 yd, 4.9 per carry, and 10 tds impressive?

Just win, baby.

Can't believe hardly anyone is mentioning health. I'll be John Madden here and say if the Pats stay healthy they have a good chance to go to the Super Bowl:D

Sure I think the Pats can win it all, but it's going to some great luck along the way. Randy Moss, healthy for 19 games last year? What are the odds of that happening again? There is a great chance that Richard Seymour pulls a Manny Ramirez and misses half the season due to some cryptic injury. Oh yeah, Maroney was healthy the entire second half thanks to BB's sparing use of him against relatively weak opponents. Hopefully Maroney is healthy which is no guarantee. Alot of last year's blessings are taken for granted now. People just expect a repeat performance around here. People are talking 14-2 as if it's going to be a cakewalk. What the Pats accomplished last year was incredible and almost impossible to put into words. Team focus, practices, meetings are things we overlook and who knows the commitment level might change to a certain degree this year. You hope for the best, but certainly expecting 2007 again will make you disappointed as a fan. I expect some key injuries here and there during the season which will be difficult to deal with at times but should make the Pats tougher in the end, and most likely a 12-4 to 13-3 record. I think we will see a season very similar to the 2006 one with hopefully a better ending.
