Tomase on NEST tonight [merged]

The man is SLIME. What a loser. He's a perfect fit for that rag that he writes for.

****On a side note. I like the new icons. Will there be more?

I dunno, I thought it was okay. At least he sat there and made zero excuses as he should. Grande wouldn't stop trying to make excuses and lead him in his questions but to Tomasse's credit, he would have none of it. He made a huge mistake but at least he sat there and did nothing to couch it at all. Now let's all move on and get over it.

When the pain of that Super Bowl loss is gone from my memory, then I'll get over it. :p
Just kidding. I'm over it, and I'm excited for the new season. But what Tomase did was irresponisble and unprofessional. He was Lazy, IMO. If I approached my job that way, I would be fired...IMMEDIATELY.

I'll tell you what wasn't OK about it. When guys like Ordway talk to coach and they don't get in his face and pummel him with the supposedly tough questions Felger wants answers to because the fans have a right to know, they tear Glen a new one for being a suck up. Funny how that never works when the shoe is on the other foot.

Tomase's peers all agreed he was in career trouble if Walsh didn't produce a tape. Then when he didn't, they rationalized why he should not be in career jeopardy trouble. But many still felt he should be reprimanded. Well, we're still waiting. Apparently the Herald's idea of a reprimand is to let him do the job he really wanted and cover his beloved Sox while the Pats are on hiatus. John says the Patriots have been nothing but professional with him in the interim. I'd guess that means they are taking the high road and just ignoring him as they had been for some time... He says he will just have to win the fans back - ignoring the fact that he never had much support in that corner for fairly obvious reasons. He always had a penchant for breaking or creating a story as opposed to cultivating access and insight beyond his personal opinion which is of no interest to most of us. He's done collateral damage beyond his own reputation as well, even among some of his peers like Maz who felt compelled to attack this fanbase in John's defense, and he hasn't acknowledged that. He's a self absorbed, entitled little twit who thinks his persuit of career goals trumps all and comes without appreciable consequences. This episode only reinforced that belief.

So...I guess it's up to the fan base to set him straight. Hopefully they will. I don't ever want to hear any more sympathy for John being called hurtful names and harassed on blogs nor do I want to hear any more sympathy for that tanking piece of fishwrap he works for that sponsored his appearance on Comcast Sports last night. Tomase on Comcast brought to you by the Herald - all that was missing in last nights spygate *********** was cameos by Specter and Easterbrooke.

The replay was on this morning as I was eating my cornflakes and almost spit them out when I saw his face.

Let me throw a monkey wrench... a man did a mistake which did not cost a life or lose a war. emmmm ... so have i.

I have no hard feeling towards him at all.

They said that there would be "blood" when they talked to him. They might have well served him twinkies and milk. What a joke.

He was certainly more animated talking about the Red Sox, which is the team he should be covering.

No actually IMO he shouldn't be covering any major sports teams after his mistake. Well maybe not any major sports team but he shuoldn't be covering any major sports teams in this area.

the only way Tomasse will ever be forgiven in my book is if we go 19-0 and win the SB this year, and a week before the superbowl against Dallas Tomasse writes a piece calling TO a cornhole and tells Romo his girl Simpson is pregnant with Pacman Jone's baby.

You guys actually gave that show ratings last night?

I have made mistakes as well. And I have paid the price for those mistakes. Tomasse has paid nothing for his. Termination, suspension, fine...something. The Herald needs to show us that they take their craft seriously and do not tolerate inaccuracies, otherwise they have lost all credibility.

Well, he got called "fat" a bunch of times in responses to his articles. That shows real comedic ingenuity right there.

They did this to the Patriots based on rumors.
That is all.

This is a betrayal so profound there can be no forgiveness,no starting over,no moving on.

It may do not good, but I have committed to
regularly sending polite emails expressing my
view on this to both the Herald, and
now to Comcast Sports.

I know myself.
My anger about this has not abated .
My feelings will not change.

Tomase needs to be somewhere else.

It is not possible to lose something you never possessed.

How about trading him and Felger to Dallas
and get Breer back?

Not good enough, you say?
OK. We'll throw in Shaugnessy too.

Deal or no deal?

So you say that when a stockbroker takes his clients money and moves to the Cayman Islands?

No one is talking about the electric chair for the guy, but he and his editors should lose their employment (they will soon anyway with the Chicopee Herald).
