Conspiracy theory (another!)

That's a good theory as well. Closer to the truth. Basically, the Pats suffered from a Martzian moment in XLII. The Giants did a great job adjusting to the Pats, while we were insistent upon winning "our way." Not until the last (not including the 35 second prayer of a drive) drive did we buck up, realize "oh, ****, this is it!" and play the way we needed to win. Not surprisingly, we marched downfield and scored. Had we adjusted protections, played the shorter game and not been preoccupied with making a statement and winning with style, we probably could've put the game away in the third quarter.

Luckily, when it comes to hindsight, we have the best in the business calling the shots and making sure that doesn't happen again. Which is why my money is firmly on parade #4 come February.

Either that, or the Giants defense became tired.

The last 35 seconds kinda dispells that, though, since they were all up in Tommy's grill. Not surprisingly, those were slow developing plays with minimal protection.

Sports hernia???? I don't remember hearing that????

PS nice avatar and sig pics.
I got one of the decade of dominance tee shirts coming...you can get them at Barstool sports ( I believe it is barstoolsports.com)

Gonna have to add a ring to the Avatar when the Celts one comes

From the article found at the link below, it appears likely Brady had a sports hernia. I heard that myself during the season on the NFL network.

BOSTON - Tom Brady had surgery last week, although the New England Patriots didn’t say Wednesday what kind of operation their star quarterback had.

I think it's fairly common knowledge that Brady was playing with a sports hernia when he threw picks like there was no tomorrow into the Denver defense. Not that it's an excuse, but the fact that he made it that far into the post season with that much pain is still commendable.

I think FGS was saying he had re-injured it and was playing on it this season.

Everyone knows that the commish had the Pats throw the SB as punishment, kinda like MJ was thrown out of the NBA for a couple of years for gambling.

If that is true then we are definitely the best in the business at protecting our star players' injuries from the media and fanbase. This is the first time I've ever heard that.
