Nick Kaczur supplies O-Line w pain pills all season long.... (100 per week being purchased??)

Team rolls to undefeated season (for many reasons)

Kaczur gets nailed by the law in december (?!) just in time for the playoffs. Supply is shut down.

O-Line inexplicably stinks in the Super Bowl!! (no denying it)

Brady pissed at O-line.

Hmmmmm

Have fun guys! PS What is the special event ticket for, in the seasons tix packet??

sigh...honestly.

They showed the Giants vs Pats regular season game last night on NFL network, and being that I'm jonesin hard for my football, I watched. What I was most interested in was the "pressure" and "lack of pressure" the Giants put on the Pats in that game. It became a shootout but I wanted to watch the trenches. What I noticed was that although it was nothing like the pressure in the SB, when the Giants did get close, Brady tended to throw short passes, into the feet of receivers, not often, but this happened a couple times. I think the Giants may have learned in that game, situational plays and used what worked for pressure, and what "zone" to call behind the 4 man front. Then when they did add the 5th rusher, via blitz, they were able to get serious pressure on Tom in the SB. They also learned that one on one on Moss was a very bad idea, and always would be a very bad idea.

The one thing I got out of the game was that the Giants coaches learned from that game what would work in the SB. It was very educational from a standpoint of coaching.

No conspiracy, just sound football.

One question, if anyone on the OLine was hurting for any reason what so ever, why would they ask a teammate for the drugs when all they have to do is get some off the team Dr. I think your confusing painkillers with Performance Enhancing drugs. So much for the Conspiracy Theory !

I agree...no conspiracy here at all..teh Giants by far had the best pass rush in the league..they knew what they needed to do..a stretch with that one....but nonetheless...interesteing...

not touching the conspiracy theorry.

But the STH event is usually a Practice inside the Stadium.

Sure thing.....let's go with your bizarre theory and totally ignore the obvious facts.

The fact that TB was limited by ankle and sports hernia injuries had noting to do with the sack party now did it.....of course TB not being able to slide in the pocket as he usually does might be the reason...but, nah, you go on with yours instead.

The only conspiracy I see is the OP working with other trolls to flood this forum with useless, ignorant posts.

Good point. This crap, er I mean thread, should be moved over to the Pub.

Could someone who knows something about this enlighten those of us who don't?

I'm under the impression that the NFL allows prescription pain killers to be used. Am I right or wrong?

If I am right, which painkillers are allowed?

Finally was (were) the drug(s) that Kakzur is accused of illegally seeking/possessing on the list of NFL-approved painkillers?

I am not sure of the details of what the CBA allows and doesn't but I am not sure that makes to much of a difference here as Kazcur apparently was doing this on his own and thus was not doing it legally and thus breaks rules of the CBA.
But again the conspiracy theory is just rediculous.

LOL. There is no conspiracy. Just that we had the misfortune of playing a team in the Super Bowl that we barely got by a month earlier. Having to play a team the calibur of the Giants is bad enough. Having to play them twice in a four week span is even worse. Like Dino said, they learned what worked in Week 16 and adjusted their defense accordingly. Pain killers didn't beat our O-Line, a lack of speed to block to the outside did.

And to think I actually felt guilty about going up to the Arcade over the weekend without bothering to read any threads here first.

Along with a QB not his usual - pocket sliding, pressure avoiding, sack avoidance self. That fact, more than anything is what kept the score down so low - along with a caoch & coordinator that refused to change and adjust properly.

A little chirping bird from Foxboro told me.......I don;t care if folks buy it or not, doesn't matter. I am not a liberty to disclose source, so it is fine with me if you toss it out as unsubstantiated.

I think the performance speaks for itself.

Easy there Thomase with these unnamed sources. :D

That's a good theory as well. Closer to the truth. Basically, the Pats suffered from a Martzian moment in XLII. The Giants did a great job adjusting to the Pats, while we were insistent upon winning "our way." Not until the last (not including the 35 second prayer of a drive) drive did we buck up, realize "oh, ****, this is it!" and play the way we needed to win. Not surprisingly, we marched downfield and scored. Had we adjusted protections, played the shorter game and not been preoccupied with making a statement and winning with style, we probably could've put the game away in the third quarter.

Luckily, when it comes to hindsight, we have the best in the business calling the shots and making sure that doesn't happen again. Which is why my money is firmly on parade #4 come February.
